Spoon is perfect. A warm cherry wood, nice handle, and the bowl is deep enough that this serves as a good stirrer and serving spoon. We've been looking to replace our plastic utensils with hand made wooden ones and this fits the bill perfectly. Great communication with the seller, great craftsmanship. Already placed a second order.

About

Our spoons are made by the two of us, one at a time. We make handmade wooden spoons, cooking and kitchen utensils and tiny wooden spoon earrings in our studio in Richmond, Vermont

Vermont Spoon is a collaboration between Jeff and Ellen Falsgraf. Over the past 40 years Jeff and Ellen have combined their talents of fine arts, photo-styling, baking, design and wood carving in numerous projects.

Carving wooden spoons is the happy result of a lifetime of discovery. Both Jeff and Ellen are involved in every aspect of creating their spoons. Ellen has a knack for using a carving axe, while Jeff has years of experience using hand chisels and fine wood working techniques.

We have found that while using our handmade spoons and utensils in the kitchen we are more engaged with the art of creating and eating our meals. For us our spoons bring more consideration and attention to the small joys of daily life, and hope they do the same for you.
