Everyone has a story to tell.
Thank you for visiting Via Prairie!
Since I was a little girl, I've always held an unlearned fascination for my father's toolbox. Inside the box, I found various utensils; a hammer, a pair of pliers, a screwdriver, a handful of worn nails, and other small instruments. For hours, I would play with the toolbox alone and create things out of bits I found around. In a concrete city, Tokyo, Japan, I was a minority when it came to my love for tools. This love was further developed by the start of jewelry making. I started with beads, then wire, then chainmail, and eventually came to silversmithing. Studying, training, and the years have strengthened my art, a long way from my father's toolbox, and yet, I still create with the same passion. Today, I work as a metalsmith jeweler, running a local and online business. I'm so fortunate to do what I love for a living.
Jewelry is uplifting to wear, thoughtful to give, and effective in conveying a certain message to anyone in your life. Joy can be brought, memories can be made and important moments can be symbolized. What matters to you?
There are so many interesting stories out there; I would like to hear your story when I have the chance! Let me hear your story too. :)
