Announcement    I am away for a small break. I will not be shipping artwork until mid August. If you purchase anything it will not ship until mid-August. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Welcome! Be sure to follow me on Instagram: @Vixterina.

Making art is my little bit of heaven on earth. Creativity makes me so happy. No person, place, or thing I have come in contact with is safe when I have art supplies in my hands. The materials speak to me in a way nothing else does. It's my meditation, therapy, and joy all wrapped into one. I am most alive when making art.

A lot of the time, my work is based on childhood memories. I explore old photos and reinterpret them with clay. If you have memories that are worth sharing, then do it.

My clay work is one of a kind and hand-built from a low fire earthenware clay. Most pieces are fired multiple times to achieve depth in color and surface. Lately, I have been exploring the impermanence of life. We are fleeting. My recent work is mixed media, and I am creating lighter, more ethereal subjects. I am sewing clothing and adorning my figures in gemstones and vintage materials.

I understand money can be tight and if you are interested in a piece, please ask about laying it away. Message me. I am happy to work with you.
Aside from Etsy, my work is shown in several galleries. Geography might limit people from traveling to the galleries which represent me, but thanks to Etsy, you get a front-row seat to my newest work which usually hasn't been seen by anyone other than my husband, my cats, and me.

Remember, I can also make custom work with colors and messages created just for you. So if you have something in mind, don't be bashful, ask me. I am quite a chatty little beast, so please do if you want to say hi.

I sell work in galleries, and I will not undersell them. It wouldn't be ethical. My prices on Etsy are the prices you pay in a gallery. Thank you for understanding.

Thank you for viewing my work. I do appreciate it. And thank you for supporting artists.

Clay is my Bliss

I started my shop not really knowing what to expect. What I love most about Etsy is how my work is now seen by an international audience. Etsy gives artists the power to market their work in ways we weren't able to do in the past.

I do have a day job and am a college Professor where I teach art and graphic design courses. I love teaching, however, clay is my passion. Any moment I am able, you will find me in my studio up to my elbows in clay. Thanks to my very understanding husband I am able to feed my soul through sculpting.

Hello and welcomed to my Etsy Store. My name is Victoria Rose Martin and I am an artist currently residing in South Florida. Follow me on Instagram @Vixterina or @Victoria_Rose_Martin

All of my artwork is one of a kind, sculpted by hand and then adorned with underglazes, slips, oxides, and over glazes. My affinity for the written word and all winged beings has a way of appearing in my artwork. I love adorning my pieces with positive affirmations and statements of strength and well being.

I have a Summa Cum Laude BFA in Graphic Design and Illustration and two separate MFA's in Ceramic and Printmaking. Currently I am serving as the Department Chair for Fine Arts, Graphic Design and Multi Media at Palm Beach State College where I teach.

I hope you like my work and will stop by and look for new and unusual things often.
