About

I'm a handmade artist, an architect, mom of one precious toddler, forever in love with colors, textures and painting!

I am an architect and I studied textile and decorative arts in high-school. I love colors and I think they can brighten our days and cheer us up. I try to create simple, elegant patterns inspired by nature, architecture and art.
I live in Bucharest, the capital city of Romania, a small country in Eastern Europe. Bucharest is a crowded city but its architecture is always an inspiration for me. Outside Bucharest there's a beautiful country with lots of historic cities and sites, wonderful landscapes and very interesting traditions, popular costumes, villages...

Victor's Boutique resulted from my need to have beautifully colored accessories and clothes that I couldn't find in the stores or were too expensive. I began to sew five years ago but as a child I was always making clothes for my dolls. My husband bought me a sewing machine because I was always telling him I wished I had one. I was pregnant with my son so I had some free time on my hands and I started to sew simple things, like pillow cases and baby burp cloths. Soon I started making clothes for myself and other people, like dresses, trousers, skirts, overalls, vests, blouses. I'm wearing many of them daily and my son always has new shorts, hats, scarves or vests made with the latest designer fabrics.
I started making bags because I needed bags that matched my new self made clothes. I painted the bags because I'm a bit tired of all the dull bags I see everywhere around and I think having a few special textile bags in your wardrobe can improve one's style and is surely cheaper than leather bags.
I love making bags and circle skirts and I love to paint them with original prints that I come up with. I chose to hand-paint my clothes because I don't find many fabrics that have prints I like, so I had to create them to fit my taste.
I am now trying to transform this passion for textiles into a full time occupation.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

All of my creations are made in a pet free, smoke free environment.

Hope you like what you see in my shop!

Thank you for visiting my shop, you're always welcome!

I am an architect and I studied textile and decorative arts in high-school. I love colors and I think they can brighten our days and cheer us up. I try to create simple, elegant patterns inspired by nature, architecture and art.

Victor's Boutique resulted from my need to have beautifully colored accessories and clothes that I couldn't find in the stores or were too expensive. I began to sew five years ago but as a child I was always making clothes for my dolls. Later I found the textile paints in the shops and I thought “why not try to make my own prints on my clothes and bags instead of always wearing the monochrome, dull clothes that everybody wears?”. I made a few clutches and clothes and people liked them, I love them and now I am trying to transform this passion into a full time occupation.

Every listed item in my shop is hand crafted and hand-painted by me with my original artwork. First I think of an object I want to make, then I try to imagine outfits that include that object and a print that would best fit in those outfits. Then I make the pattern, cut the fabric and paint it. Many items take a few days to paint because of the large painted areas and the fact that the first layers have to dry before I paint the next layers of color. I only use Maimeri water-based paints, which need to dry for 24 hours and are then fixed by being ironed for 5 minutes at hot temperature.

I will try my best to make every creation you order very similar to the one featured on the site. Still, there will be small differences between the picture and the object that you will receive, because I will not always find the same fabric, nor obtain the exact same shade of color on two different creations. I like to mix the colors, I don't use them directly from the tube.
I always use quality fabrics and paints, because I put in a lot of time and passion working on every item and I want it to look its best so that you can enjoy it for a long time. Oh, that and the fact that I'm a perfectionist! :)
Your feedback is very important to me because I always try to improve myself and my creations. So if you're pleased with your purchase, please feel free to leave me a review.

All of my creations are made in a pet free, smoke free environment.

Frequently asked questions
Care instructions

The hand-painted items should be hand washed at 30 degrees Celsius and ironed at medium temperature or high/cotton temperature if you use a protective cloth (actually you could iron the painting at cotton temperature with no problem, but the thread I use is usually polyester thread and it might melt). If you are using a powerful steam iron (steam ironing station), use a cloth to protect the painting because the extremely hot steam might damage it. If you follow these instructions your item will look as new indefinitely (I am wearing clothes and bags I made 3-4 years ago, I've even machine- washed them at higher temperatures and they still look like the day I painted them).

Gift wrapping and packaging

I always wrap my items in white tissue paper, tied with red ribbon. I add a business card and a hand-painted thank-you note, then I insert all of them in an envelope or box.
