5 out of 5 starsVietto's clothes are all about quality. The cut on this dress seems simple but when you put it on it has a certain subtlety that you can only find in expensive clothing. It's fun to wear the shoulder ties loose in a casual way, or tied in bows for a different look altogether. The fabric is more substantial than I expected, and working with Minna, I really felt that this was truly custom made for me. One thing I might have done is maybe ordered the dress wtihout the belt since it sort of cuts the silhouette of the dress in half so, for me the belt is difficult to pull off unless you are quite tall. However, it was probably the way the belt was styled with the dress that drew me to this design in the first place.

5 out of 5 starsI ordered a shorter version of this skirt, but in some way wished I ordered a longer one because this skirt has a very interesting geometry to it that you would be able to see more with the longer version. The surprising thing about this skirt is that once you take it out of the box, it looks simple; however, if you look again, this skirt creates a flattering shape that defies gravity. I think I would have liked a wider waistband on this skirt; too, the decorative seams are not very visible (black on black), so it would be nice to see them more, although I don't know if that would ruin the subtley of the whole thing...they really do add to the shape and body of the skirt -- again, I think you only see this type of cleverness and play with different shapes etc -- in designer clothing.

5 out of 5 starsCool with a feminine twist! Perfect for travel; it's lighter than a scarf, keeps the neck warm (and not hot), and doesn't take up too much space when rolled up! Brilliant! You're the best, Minna!

Innovative Independent Ecological Fashion
I’ve been making things with my hands basically all my life.
Somehow I still ended up studying geography instead of applied arts. After working five years in environmental management, my creative side finally made its debut. I founded Vietto. And, since fashion had always been an essential part of me along with nature and environmental awareness, it was more than natural to choose ecological materials for the starting point of my creative work.
As ecological materials are very important to me, I still try to reach the ecological aspect from many different angles: I do my best to design clothing that stands the test of time, but isn’t boring; I make convertible garments to keep their users interested for years; I use eco power for the machines I use, and I try to use locally manufactured fabrics whenever possible.
My creations often seem to be a bit extraordinary by their shape, but they are still very wearable. Although I love unconventional forms, I always want to keep my designs usable. Pop culture, urban phenomena, and nature all fascinate me, which might sound contradictory. However, I find unusual combinations very intriguing, and I love to combine very traditional crafting techniques with modern pieces of clothing.
As a designer, I don’t want to create new collections every six months; I don’t find that sustainable. My design process is more like evolutionary. It means that my creations constantly evolve, but most of them stay in my collection as ‘classics’ for more than one season. When design is timeless and personal, the wardrobe doesn’t need to be renewed for each season.
