Began with a thought...
Started out with a thought and I went for it!!
At first, I was going to partner with two other people, but they backed out and I was left with myself to do the work! I'll admit, at first I was pretty bummed, but in the end I am working for myself and feeling great about it!
I spent years of my teen-hood adoring vintage clothing. I would grab an old dress from the thrift store and cut it up and turn it into a sweet-ass pair of shorts. Now, I am following my dream of selling my style to the world! I've always loved feeling good in what I'm wearing, and I hope I can provide that feeling to you!
Now, it's been over two years since I opened up the shop. It's been a lot of fun working and growing on Etsy. It really is a business where you get out what you put in. I have developed more skills, like a bit of photography, sewing, styling and designing. It's been a blast, and I'm excited to see what is to come!
Life is good, I am so so so happy with my shop and everything I have learned and am learning!

I study Human Relations in University, and I live with my two loves: Glen (boyfriend) & Snoopy (pooch). Every chance I get, I work on my shop! I have a passion for sewing, crafting, learning new things, and cooking. I LOVE vintage fashion!!

If you would like to cancel your order for a full refund, it must be before the item has been dispatched.
If, after an item is dispatched, the shipping price I paid was $5.00 or less than the shipping price you paid, I will refund you the difference.
If you have special requests for shipping methods, for example if you need tracking, 2-day shipping, insurance, signature upon arrival, or expedited shipping, you must send me a request by mail before purchasing your item(s).
Each item is packaged carefully: I wrap items in plastic to be sure no water damage occurs. Packages are also taped up on all corners and sides, and sent securely so as to remain in tact throughout the trip to you. If you ever receive a package with holes in it or that has been damaged (even if the item inside is still in perfect condition), please let me know so that I can improve my packaging methods and file a report with the Postal Service.
WARNING about CUSTOMS:
Keep in mind that the shipping price you pay covers the shipping and packaging only. Orders that are shipped to countries outside of Canada may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country. The recipient of an international shipment may be subject to such Import Fees, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by the recipient; Village Vine has no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information if you are purchasing internationally. Also note that I mark your packages as "Gift" which decreases the chance that customs duties will be required. However, this is only an attempt and cannot guarantee that you will not be charged for customs.
Refunds and Exchanges
If you wrote your address incorrectly, I will not be able to refund you for not receiving your package.
If an item arrives that does not fit properly, but the measurements are listed in the item's description, I will not be able to refund you.
I accept returns if they are sent within 7 days after the delivery date. A full refund of the item's cost will be provided as long as the item is returned in the same condition it was sent in. The shipping costs will not be refunded.
If there is any damage on an item that was not previously listed or described in the item's Listing, please send me a detailed description of the issue, and I will do my best to solve the problem. Photos of the condition issue may be required for any form of compensation. Depending on the issue, you may receive an exchange, partial or full refund, or a discount.
To keep shipping costs low, orders are not covered by insurance or tracked unless specifically requested by the customer. Refunds are only for tracked, insured orders. If, after a package is dispatched, the item does not reach you, I cannot refund you unless you previously requested tracking or insurance. I do not get tracking on orders to keep the shipping prices lower. If you would like to track your order, you will have to make a request before purchasing your item(s).
