About

Vintage Bloom Designin' on Etsy!

Vintage Bloom Design began out of a desire to share my work with not just local enthusiasts, but admirers from all over the United States.

Prior to the debut of Vintage Bloom Design in the Fall of 2011, I was selling locally at area craft shows and the local Garden Expo. I had heard about Etsy from a fellow vendor, and I kept seeing items advertised in magazines, being sold by Etsy shops. I was especially encouraged when a colleague of mine described my work as "art". I had never really thought of it as art, but I knew there was something bigger out there that I wanted to be a part of. I decided it was time to take a leap of faith. I began with Etsy in the Fall of 2011, listing embroidered wool ornaments which I had previously only sold at local artisan shows. The beginning of 2012 was the first appearance for the embroidered wool Valentine ornaments and wool felt/twine garland.

I love the positive energizing influence of the color red, and the purity of white. Although these are probably two of my favorite colors to use, I have dabbled in other hues and will continue to do so.

Listing vintage items along with the handmade items is a huge plus! --I know that is how my own home is put together - a little history combined with a little handmade, and a lot of love!
