From planning a wedding to building an Etsy shop

After helping plan a wedding with my daughter and filling it full of do it yourself ideas, I was exciting to find an outlet for my creativity. Even as a child, I was always trying to find a way to make something, rather than buy it. Nothing is more satisfying than creating something you or someone else can enjoy. Turning what I love to do into a flourishing business has been nothing short of amazing.

The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
  • Items on sale
Returns and exchange details
Once you order a custom item, we start working on the design and creation process, and therefore we don't offer refunds on these items from their purchase time onward. These made to order items are eligible for exchanges if they have been damaged in transit, if the personalization does not match the personalization information left by the buyer, or if it does not match the buyer approved draft. We also don't accept returns for non customized items that have been modified. This includes, but is not limited to, things such as modifying an item's size, count, color(s), design etc. Because these items can't be resold in many cases and aren't items we typically sell, we can't offer returns. For example, if you order our wood slices in a size we don't typically sell in a size just for you, we can't except a return. Other items that are made to order and/or have a limited shelf life such as our bird seed favors or seed paper are also not refundable. Please contact us if you are not sure if the changes you are making to an item/order fall under this category if you are at all concerned. For items eligible for returns, both a 5% restocking fee and the cost incurred originally to ship the item will be deducted from the return amount as well.

Shipping
Orders are shipped in a timely manner. Please be sure to order your items well in advance to allow for anything that is out of my control once the item ships.

Contact me for faster shipping methods prior to purchase to be sure we can accommodate you. Expedited shipping requires a phone number from the buyer. Failure to provide this can delay shipping.

Any delivery issues will need to be addressed with the USPS. Vintage Blooming is not responsible for delivery problems.

Some items include insurance through USPS, but many don't. If you want an order insured, please contact me before purchasing to see about adding it. This can be done at an additional cost to the buyer. Note that in the unlikely event their is an insurance claim, the buyer will be responsible for handling the claim with the USPS. This is because this is typically the requirement with the USPS. Please keep all packaging and damaged and undamaged items, as USPS will require you provide these to them in order to process the claim We will do anything we can to help assist in processing the claim.
Free shipping for orders over $35 applies to one address only. Free shipping does not apply to multiple items in one order. You will have to purchase each item(s) you want shipped to different addresses separately and if the total is less than $35 then shipping charges will apply.

Additional policies and FAQs
Processing times are business days. Weekends and holidays are not considered business days. We try to note our shipping time on all items and in almost all cases honor those times. The exceptions to this are our bird seed favors, which we arrange to ship a couple weeks before your event, assuming you order enough in advance. Please keep in mind they take over a week to make and cure and because of their popularity we also have to put your order in queue. Also an unusually large order may take longer to process. Please contact us if you have any concerns about your shipping time. Also note that if a draft approval is requested or required, processing time can be delayed if we don't get approval on them. We will send the item to production without draft approval if we have all the info we need to process the order. Many times we can't get a hold of a buyer and yet they need the item by a deadline. In cases where we suspect timely delivery is especially important, we prefer to fill the order with the information we have rather than have the buyer disappointed if the item does not arrive in time. It is the buyer's responsibility to check their Etsy messages regularly and in line with their delivery needs to ensure the item's drafts are approved or any questions we need for order processing is answered. In cases where buyer did not inform us of things such a ribbon color choices, we will make the call whether to cancel the order or proceed with what looks best. If your order is particularly large or needs extra care, we recommend leaving a phone number with us in case we need to reach you. Please be sure the email address you have on file with Etsy is correct as we will sometimes try and reach you by email if we haven't been able to through Etsy messaging. NOTE: Holidays are a very busy time and if you are concerned about your ship date, please contact us first.

Many pictures are taken close up, so please look closely at the item description to be sure it is exactly as you want. Please pay special attention to size.
