About

Changing Lives

The Idea for this store came from a discussion between our Executive Director and her hair dresser. They both had a love of shoping at flea markets; garage sales and estate sales but could not use all the items at their homes. We started out by having a garage sale. It allowed us not only to obtain items for the store but the financial bases for the store. The store is staffed on Tuesday morning by volunteers who take pictures, sort items, clean items and just have fun together. For every $50 we sell, we are able to provide an hour of counseling services to children and their families. We plan that this store will grow and become a financial support to the agency so we can continue to provide low cost counseling serves and free domestic violence services to residents in our community. Thanks for shopping with us.

Shipping
We want our customers to have a positive experience with us so please read these rules before ordering!

Shipping Days:
Since we are staffed by volunteers, we can only ship on Tuesdays.

Shipping Methods:
We strive to keep our shipping costs low so small domestic packages are shipped via USPS Priority Mail or First Class Mail - whichever is the least expensive method for the package. Heavier, bulkier packages are shipped UPS. If you are purchasing more than one item, we are happy to check into the cost of combined shipping to give you the best rate.

Insurance:
We strive to pack fragile items in a manner that does not cause breakage but if you want extra insurance (at your expense), let us know. We will check on cost and let you know. For purchases over $100, if you would like insurance added simply include this request prior to buying or in notes to seller. Most often, charges run under $2.00 and can save you lots of heartache if a parcel is lost or damaged.

Picking up Items:
If you want to pick up items, you need to inform us when you purchase the item.
We only allow pick up on Tuesday or Thursday mornings but it must be pre-arranged. If an item is not picked up within 2 weeks, you must let us know or a 15% storage charge will be added to your cost because we have limited space.

Gifts:
If you would like to send an item as a gift, we are happy to help. We will add a note from you to the recipient and won't include a receipt with the shipment (it will be a surprise!). For any questions regarding this or other questions contact us at carolyn [!at] bridgestoanewday.org

Holiday Shipping:
We stop shipping items on December 23 at 9 am and resume shipping on January 6
Refunds and Exchanges
We want our customers to be happy with their purchases. As a general rule, we do not issue refunds. However, if there is a problem with the purchased item, please contact us.
