Welcome to Vintage Dawn - my jewelry-making supply shop, specializing in vintage cabochons.

Pleasing my customers is my top priority; so if you're unsatisfied with your shopping experience at Vintage Dawn for ANY reason, please don't hesitate to contact me. I promise to promptly resolve any issues as best I can.

Payment is due at the time your order is submitted and is accepted through PayPal for all US and international customers. Direct credit card payments are now available through Etsy, so you don't need to have a PayPal account to make a purchase.

Only transactions in which the purchase has not yet been shipped may be cancelled. As long as I haven't shipped your order, I'll issue a full refund. If you decide to cancel a transaction, please notify me immediately to avoid paying shipping charges. If you wish to cancel your order after I've shipped it, it will be considered a return, and the shipping costs remain the buyer's responsibility. Please see my return policy below.

IMPORTANT – I ship to your ETSY ADDRESS. So please make sure that your Etsy address is correct. If you’d like your order shipped to an alternate address, contact me at the time your order is placed. You may also leave me a message in the "note to seller" message box at the time you place your order. So, don't forget to double check your Etsy address, as I will not be held responsible for orders lost because the address provided was the wrong one.


Your order will be shipped within three business days from when I receive cleared payment. Usually, I do not ship on weekends; however, if you have an emergency and need your item ASAP, send me a convo. I'll try my best to accommodate your request. Priority shipping may involve an additional cost.


All items are shipped through the United States Postal Service. I ship First Class for orders up to 12 ounces. If your order exceeds 12 oz., it will be shipped Priority Mail. Delivery confirmation is included in all domestic orders. Etsy will send you an email - after I've printed out the shipping label - which will include a link to track your package. You should receive your purchase 3 to 7 days after it is shipped, but it could take longer. If you have not received your order after 7 business days or if your items arrive damaged, please contact me immediately.


I do not include insurance in the shipping cost. If you’d like to purchase insurance, contact me before you pay, and I’ll adjust the shipping cost of the item.


I ship USPS First Class International mail. Usually, packages shipped outside the US take about 9-18 business days to arrive. However, this is just an estimate, and I have had some shipments take up to 8 weeks to arrive. If you do not receive your order in the time expected, please contact me.

When I ship packages through USPS First Class Mail, I cannot assume responsibility for lost or damaged items. Most international shipments arrive safely at their destinations. However, there's always a chance that your order may be lost or damaged in transit. Since insurance is not available for packages shipped internationally through USPS First Class Mail, your order will not be insured by me unless you contact me to request insurance and pay the required charge. If you do not want to assume the risk of having your purchase shipped by USPS First Class International Mail; please contact me and I will find out the shipping fee for International Priority Mail with insurance for your package.

It is required that I fill out the customs forms for international shipments. If you are required to pay duties or any other fees once your package arrives in your country, I cannot be held responsible for those, and they remain your responsibility.


The shipping cost for each item is listed under the description. Additional items you wish to purchase (after the initial item) will have a lower shipping cost (subject to COMBINED SHIPPING REQUIREMENTS) to reflect the discounted combined shipping.


To qualify for combined shipping, all items must be paid for in one single transaction/order. If you've submitted your order and forgot to include an item, you may submit an additional order; and, as long as I have not yet mailed the first order, I will refund any shipping overpayment. All items with combined shipping will be mailed in the same package.
Refunds and Exchanges
Your satisfaction is of the utmost importance to me. If, for ANY reason, you’re dissatisfied with your purchase, please don't hesitate to contact me. I do offer refunds and exchanges.

In order to be considered for a refund or an exchange, please contact me via Etsy within 30 days of receiving your merchandise.
Additional policies and FAQs

I’ll be happy to create a custom listing for you. Occasionally, I have greater quantities of items than what I've listed; so, please contact me if you'd like more of a certain item, and I'll check my stock. Also, if you'd like something that you don't see in my shop, don't hesitate to ask - I have quite a large inventory; and I may have what you need, but just haven't listed it yet.

Once I’ve listed a custom order, payment is appreciated within one week. Please contact me, if you need more time to pay.


I truly appreciate positive feedback. If, for any reason, you’re unhappy with your shopping experience at Vintage Dawn, I want to know. I'd truly appreciate it if you'd contact me BEFORE leaving negative or neutral feedback. Your satisfaction is extremely important to me, and there may be something I can do to make a less-than-positive experience, a better one.


I photograph my items under natural light conditions. Even though I do my best to represent my items as accurately as possible, there may still be differences between how they look on my computer and how they look on yours. Unfortunately, this is unavoidable, since computers differ from one to another. Please keep this in mind when buying items from my shop.


Many of the items in my shop are vintage. Some are many decades old; and therefore, may have tiny imperfections which are telling of their age. These imperfections may include scratches, discoloration, and/or tiny chips. Before listing an item in my shop, I thoroughly examine it to make sure that there are no flaws that detract from the item's beauty. In most cases, tiny imperfections in antique elements add to the charm and uniqueness of the individual piece. However, if you are unhappy with any of the items that you purchase from my shop, please contact me immediately so that I can faciliate a refund or exchange.
