Old photos of women and cars makes me happy..this is one of my favorites.
Reconstructed, Rusty or Just Plain Retro
I grew up in the Ozarks - on our property there stood the original homestead behind our house. I was never allowed to go in there, except with my grandfather. This house was rickety, there were holes in the floors of the 2 story house and it was packed to the rafters with antiques, old family furniture, and items from family members that had passed. I ached to go in there for more than a peek - I wanted to see what was in the giant rolltop drawers - to look in a book stacked precariously in the corner that I was convinced contained a wondrous world long finished before my time..Old magazines of women dressed in layers of dresses with parasols teased me, but sadly I never got the chance as an adult. The old house finally collapsed and took with it two stories of untouched antiques and a tangible history of my families past.
Since that time - I always go with the urge to open a seemingly hidden drawer in an old piece of furniture. I feel a childlike joy to find a gorgeous old book that has not been opened in more than 30 years and yet bittersweet to discover someone's life has been thrown away - or auctioned off..I almost always buy these items that are obvious remnants of a life well lived - because SOMEONE has to. I can't keep it all, as my lovely husband reminds me - so I share it here - and hope that someone else will see it and give it the second life I hope for...should that be you - please - email me when you finish your project - I'd love to see it!
My husband and I run this shop together - going to estate sales, auctions, tag sales and anywhere in between. He has a magical ability to identify just about any odd item and even at the age of 50 and 43 - we are still "googly eyed" and spend every spare moment together, hunting for new items for our Etsy Shop and our booth at a local Consignment Shop.

Since Charity is the nerd, so Rob (aka "the Huz") does all the packing & shipping. Occasionally he even helps her answer questions. He is the go to guy when it comes to identifying antiquities. He is better than google!! He's a bit of a clown too <3

Payment
You can choose the PayPal Option during checkout. After you submit your order click the “Pay Now” button. Scroll Down and you will see the option to pay with a Credit or Debit Card WITHOUT having to sign up for a PayPal account.
We will send items the moment payment has cleared.
Please contact us if you are having trouble completing a payment - maybe we can help!
Shipping
In effort to remain earth conscious we use recycled packaging materials from a local retail store - their items are generally over-packaged with peanuts, foam and bubblewrap and they save it for us to reuse We always ship in sturdy boxes and in a manner that we would want to receive items we purchase.
If utilizing paypal and the "ship to" address is different from the one indicated on Etsy, we will hold the item for no more than 3 days and attempt to contact you. If we are unable to reach you, it will be sent to the address listed on Etsy.
International Shipping:
If you are outside of the United States, international shipping is determined on a case by case basis - please contact us personally.
Customs can delay shipping by up to six weeks - while that seems a rare circumstance, we'd rather forewarn you rather than crossing our fingers and hoping it doesn't happen.
