Sisters, Keri & Tera, started this shop in memory of their Grandmother, Mary. When they were in middle school, Grandma Mary used to take them both to thrift stores—always on senior citizen discount day. Every trip was its own adventure. The passion continued and after Mary's passing and VintageFive13 launched. The number, 513, was Grandma Mary's address. The home where there was always cookies in the freezer and vintage toys in the hall closet. Nothing went unused at 513, from ranch packets to birthday cards from the 1960s. Giving another life to discarded finds, reducing landfill waste, and helping our customers find the treasures they have been looking for is our goal.

How can I get a refund?
All sales are final. We take great care in taking detailed photos and will mention wear and tare in the description. PLEASE use the zoom function that Etsy provides while looking at the pictures and please ask any questions you have prior to purchasing. All items in the shop are vintage and are expected to have some wear.
I just received my item and it was not what I thought. Can I return it?
As stated in the shop policies, we do not accept returns. We take great care in taking multiple pictures of the items in the shop. Please use the zoom in feature to look at items and message us with any questions before purchasing. We describe the items to the best of our ability and make point to mention any noticeable/distracting blemishes/ damage/ wear to any items. We also include multiple measurements for every item as to clear any confusion on sizing.
PLEASE READ THROUGH THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE PURCHASING. While we want you to be satisfied with your purchase, we cannot be responsible for the item after you buy and receive it.
Why does my box look so... "rough"?
Reusing, recylcing and reducing is a priority for vintageFIVE13. We try very hard to use recycled boxes when shipping our items and sometimes that means ripping off old labels and Amazon Prime tape. Please be ensured that the outer appearance of your box DOES NOT reflect the packaging of your items. We take the upmost care in wrapping and protecting your vintage treasures when shipping them so that they don't get damaged. We are committed in doing our part in taking care of our earth by recycling and reusing old shipping boxes to help with our environment and to keep costs down for the shop.
So if you won't give me a refund, what am I to do about my broken damaged item?
Again, we take great care when wrapping and shipping your items and it is out of our control once we drop the package off at the post office. Most of our packages are sent through USPS with Priority Mail shipping which includes insurance. You are welcome to file a claim with the US Postal service online through their file claim service to see if they will refund you for the damage caused during shipping.
How is the shipping price determined?
The shipping calculated through Etsy is merely an estimate based off where the item is shipping from to where it is shipping to. Feel free to message me for a more accurate quote's. We refund all shipping overages of $2 or more.
-Shipping will be more (or less) depending on the size of the box needed to safely package the item.
-The weight of the item and the packaging is also a major factor.
-All packages ship from Illinois so if you're buying from California (or other Western states) shipping will be more due to the cross country trip.
We do try our best to keep box sizes and weight down without compromising the safety of the vintage goods. Please message with any questions you may have.
The color of my item(s) is diffrent from the photographs online. Why is that?
We do our best to properly depict every item in our store through our photographs, but please bear in mind that the colors maybe slightly different from the actual item due to the lighting during the photoshoot or the monitor's display.
