About

Vintage Gypsies...it's a lifestyle!

Back in 2009, Deb and Chris started making magnets from vintage costume jewelry and as "one thing led to another", a business, Vintage Gypsies, had begun. We opened an Etsy shop in 2010 and worked our way up from local craft shows and farmers markets to the Alameda Point Antiques Faire, the Treasure Island Flea, while Deb ventured off to the collective world of Healdsburg Vintage.

Somewhere along the line, we lost count on how many countries we have shipped to: Russia, China, Japan, France, Italy, UK, French Caledonia, New Zealand, Austrailia….and on and on….along with all parts of the US of A…Manhattan, Malibu, San Diego, Dallas, Montana, Seattle, Oregon, N'Oleans, Los Gatos, San Francisco, 90210, throw a dart!!!! We have shipped for photo shoots, TV shows, theatre props and costume designers. Our vintage items have gone to NY and LA designers, stylists and bloggers. Each time is more exciting than the last!

Payment
We accept Pay Pal or credit card via the Etsy Direct Checkout. No fuss, no muss. We generally ship 2 days a week (Tuesday and Thursday) after payment is confirmed. If shipping is delayed beyond that, we will convo you. California Sales Tax is charged on items shipping to California. If your state requires you to pay sales tax on internet sales, you are responsible for that outside of this transaction.

By purchasing any item that will go to a country outside of the U.S., the buyer acknowledges that it is their responsibility to pay all customs, taxes, handling fees or other charges imposed by the government or postal service of the country where the package is being delivered to.
Shipping
Domestic:
We ship via the US Mail with Delivery Confirmation for the most part. If you would like your shipment insured, please convo us before purchasing and we will add the cost to the shipment.

For heavy items, we may ship FED X, UPS or use Greyhound. If we ship Greyhound, the buyer is required to pickup the parcel at the nearest Greyhound station and shipping could take weeks in that instance and we will convo you with the best information we have. If you want something different, please convo us and we will do our best to accommodate and let you know what the additional charges will be.

International:
For international orders-please contact us for shipping amounts and we can add it to your order. We ship International First Class, which does not have tracking.

International customers please note we will not mark items as a "gift" and there may be additional Customs charges, Taxes or Duties upon receipt of your shipment. These charges are not included in U.S. postal fees and therefore cannot be paid up front by the shipper. They are the responsibility of the buyer and not part of the cost of products or shipping charges and when they are imposed by the receiving country they may affect your total cost. Here is a link to help you calculate your customs, VAT or duty that your country may charge: http://www.dutycalculator.com/new-import-duty-and-tax-calculation .
