Vintage Junk in My Trunk collects all things antique and vintage (which to me means no later than the 1970s) and hopes to find loving homes for each and every treasure. To me, the beauty and charm of vintage lies in its imperfection! If it's rusty, tattered, or chippy, it is full of character and you will find it here!

I am a proud member of the Etsy Vintage Team (http://etsyvintage.blogspot.com/) and have taken The Honest Vintage Pledge: everything that I have tagged as vintage in my shop is at least twenty years old or older. I stake my reputation on it. I will never knowingly sell a fake or a repro knockoff to my customers. EVER.

If you can't find what you are looking for in my shop(s), please convo me and I will try to find it for you. I might even already have it!

Thanks for stopping by and sharing the vintage love!

About

{one-of-a-kind treasures to soothe your vintage soul}

Many years ago, my husband-to-be introduced me to the world of antiquing. (I will not succumb to the temptation of calling him my first antique. Will. Not. Succumb.) He had been going to yard sales and flea markets since he was a teenager and by his thirties had amassed quite a collection of primitives. Crocks, game boards, firkins, tool carriers, cameras, pitchers, yellow ware, corn molds, cast iron horses, step stools, any kind of lidded box... you get the idea.

A couple of decades later, our home is jam-packed with our mutual love of all things distressed, crazed, and chipped. The cats sleep in a child's doll bed from the 1940s. Our vacations were planned according to how many antique stores we could hit in a 30-mile radius as we "chachka" (it's a verb). Saturday mornings were spent dragging cranky pajama-clad kids out of their beds and toward a multitude of yard sales. Nights at the local auction house filled out those dreary winter weekends.

My vintage obsession has expanded to the point where my art/scrapbook studio no longer has any space to either art or scrap. The paper ephemera, aprons, and cabinet cards spill out of the vintage suitcases, and the doll heads, buttons, and rusty keys bulge out of Ball jars and bottles. This Etsy shop is an attempt to divest of some of our collections and to find a loving home for our new acquisitions.

Payment
Vintage Junk in My Trunk accepts PayPal and Direct Checkout.

Please note that as a vintage item, my pieces may not be in perfect condition, since that is generally the nature (and charm) of vintage. I will describe the item to the best of my ability, but I am not an expert in any vintage category. All items sold in as-is condition.

Please look at photos carefully and email me with any questions before purchasing to avoid any misunderstandings.
Shipping
INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: The charge listed for international shipping may be an exaggerated figure. Please convo me if you are interested in purchasing an item so I can give you an accurate shipping cost to your specific country.

Vintage Junk in My Trunk usually ships within 1-3 business days unless otherwise indicated. Large, heavy, fragile items are shipped on Fridays to allow time for careful, proper packing. If you need your item by a certain date, please convo me to work out the details.

Many of my vintage items are fragile and I always package with extreme care. Insurance is purchased on any item valued at over $50.

If I have grossly overestimated your shipping costs I will reimburse your account. Shipping costs include bubble wrap, boxes, postage, and delivery confirmation.
Refunds and Exchanges
Please convo me with any questions prior to purchase to avoid misunderstandings. Please zoom in on all photos for details. Please read the entire description so you have a thorough understanding of the item.

I will be happy to reimburse you for the cost of the item if I have grossly misrepresented the item in any way. You are responsible to view all photos I have provided, and to read the detailed description thoroughly.
Additional policies and FAQs
Vintage Junk in My Trunk is a completely smoke-free environment. The storage area where my items are kept is pet-free as well.

Layaway is also available for a 5% additional charge. The minimum purchase amount on a layaway is $100. Basic terms are 50% down (nonrefundable) to hold the item. The balance must be paid off within one month (unless prior arrangements have been made) or the entire payment will be forfeited. I prefer to set it up with no more than three additional payments but this is negotiable. Once the item is completely paid for, it will be shipped.

Should you wish to use the layaway plan, contact me before making the purchase so that layaway payment dates can be arranged and the payment option can be changed to "other".
