Hello and welcome to Vintage Me Up! My name is Christina and I am the owner, designer, maker and dreamer behind everything you see in my shop. I have always loved reinterpreting fashions that pay homage to bygone eras while injecting my own contemporary point of view. Vintage Me Up allows me to share this vision with you.
It’s a Greek thing, let me explain: It means “wear it in good health” and is a customary wish in my home country when creating something new from scratch. Every time I cut a new order, I say this wish for the person it is intended for. In case you haven’t guessed by now, I was born and raised in Athens, Greece, and one of my earliest memories is my Grandma sewing with her 1920s Singer sewing machine that you can only find in antique stores nowadays.
Even though you would think my life path would be set from the get go (marry a Greek guy and have Greek kids – remember my Big Fat Greek Wedding?), it actually took quite an unexpected turn. I have been very lucky to have lived in 3 different countries in two different continents – my home country Greece; London, UK with its unique and captivating sense of style and fashion; and Los Angeles, California, the city I currently call home. My own perception of style has been influenced by all three countries, and has developed over the years into a love for “marrying” the old and the classic with the hip and contemporary. So much so, that I organized my own wedding around that theme, wearing a girly and romantic rockabilly style wedding dress that I designed myself.
By 2012, I am living in the City of Angels, California with my husband, and my love for vintage inspired fashion is growing stronger than ever as I bask in the retro style that exemplifies the golden age of Hollywood. This is when I realize that this is my true calling, and I become determined to share my passion with others. This is how Vintage Me Up is born and slowly goes from an idea to an ever evolving line of frocks and accessories.
There is nothing more satisfying for me than seeing my idea go from a sketch to a real garment, bringing a smile to someone’s face every time she wears it. This creative process of brainstorming, sketching, taking notes, sourcing materials and ultimately bringing the piece to life is always awe-inspiring. Day-to-day life in the city of Los Angeles is always full of buzz and inspiration, but it is in the quiet space of my sewing studio where everything becomes real with the help of my 2 most trusted companions: my sewing machine and serger.

California sales tax will be added at checkout on all sales within the state of California.
Delivery time (after an item has left our premises and until it gets delivered to our customer's address) depends on your location. Shipping within the USA typically takes 2-5 business days. International delivery can take up to 20-25 business days and may be subject to customs clearance delays.
We ship via USPS and use a tracking number when possible.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: Customs duties and fees for international orders vary by country and sometimes by city/province. Hence these are not included in the sale price or shipping fee and are the responsibility of the customer upon product arrival. Shipping upgrades can be made available upon request and for an additional fee, as determined by the US Postal Service.
IMPORTANT NOTE ON LOST OR RETURNED PACKAGES: Orders are always shipped to the exact address the customer provides. We use Etsy's automated shipping system, which practically copy-pastes the address you have provided onto the shipping label, so please double check for accuracy before submitting your order. Sometimes packages get lost or end up returned to sender. Reasons why this may happen include, but are not limited to: a) wrong or inaccessible shipping address; b) unpaid customs duties; c) a package being denied at delivery; d) a package that is held for pick up fails to be picked up in a timely manner. In such cases, we will offer to re-ship your item once it is received back. Re-shipping fees are the customer's responsibility. If you decline re-shipping or if delivery fails a second time, store credit to the value of the item minus shipping costs will be issued instead. Please note that the above only apply to packages that are actually received back. To avoid your package getting lost or being turned around, you are strongly encouraged to: a) double check your shipping address for any errors before you place your order; b) monitor your order's transit via the online tracking number provided; c) take any further action required by you in a timely manner, such as payment of duties and/or package pick up.
Refunds and Exchanges
Ready to wear/clearance items can ONLY be returned for an exchange with another ready to wear/clearance item, depending on availability. Return items need to be received back in unworn, unwashed condition (and please be mindful of pet hair!) within 14 days of receipt date. We must receive notification of an intended return within 3 days of receiving your item . Return postage and exchange postage are the customer's responsibility.
For an exchange item of higher value than the original, the customer will be invoiced for the balance plus exchange shipping fees. For an exchange item of lesser value than the original, the customer will be refunded any remaining balance that exceeds the exchange shipping fee.

Product damages or errors in filling an order are taken seriously and we will do our best to remedy the situation. In the rare event that you have been affected by such a mishap, please notify us immediately and we will work with you to reach a mutually acceptable resolution.
As a courtesy, we ask that you inspect your item as soon as possible upon receipt and that you notify us immediately if there are any problems or concerns.

*What is your turnaround time on 'made to order' items?
Please check the specific item listing page for this kind of information, as it can vary between items. If you still have questions, please convo us.
*Do you accept rush/expedited orders on 'made to order' items?
At this time, we regret that we cannot accept rush orders. All 'made to order' items are sewn in small batches on a specific production schedule, or cut and sewn from scratch as orders come in.
*Can I cancel my order at any time?
We only accept cancellations within 24 hours of placing an order. Thereafter, your order is already scheduled for production, hence cancellations are not possible.
*Can I make changes to my order?
Yes, provided that we are notified within 24 hours of placing your original order.
*How do I measure myself?
Bust measurement: measure around the fullest part of your bust, typically around the nipples. Note: this is different to your cup size.
Waist measurement: measure around your natural waist, which is the smallest part of the waist, typically about an inch over the belly button.
Lower hip measurement: measure around the fullest part of your hips, typically the part you lower when you're about to sit down.
Length measurement: for dresses, measure from mid shoulder to hem. For skirts, measure from natural waist to hem.
*Can I expect a perfect fit based on your sizing chart?
You can expect a close fit based on our sizing chart, provided that your measurements have been taken correctly. In many cases, you will indeed have a perfect fit. In other cases, minor adjustments may be needed. Please understand that it is impossible to guarantee a perfect fit without a personal fitting and with the vast variety of body types out there.
*How do I know which length to pick?
We offer 3 lengths for our made-to-order dresses and skirts: mini (20 inches waist to hem), midi/tea length (24 inches waist to hem) and maxi (28 inches waist to hem). These lengths have been designed with the average woman in mind, 5'4" to 5'7" tall (162 to 170cm). If you are more petite than 5'4" or taller than 5'7", please assume that the above lengths will fall longer or shorter on you respectively, and take this into account when choosing length. Please note that bodice length in dresses is the same in all sizes, approximately 13-14 inches shoulder to waist, unless otherwise stated.
*Do you offer custom colors/sizes?
If you want a color that you don't see in our shop, please convo us. We may be able to source it for you if our suppliers carry it and most of the time it will carry no extra cost (assuming it is the same fabric type as the ones we already offer). Custom sizing is not available at this time, however we have created a wide size spread from XXS to 3XL that fit a vast range of customers. We also offer 3 different lengths on most 'made to order' dresses and skirts as standard options to accommodate different length needs and preferences.
*What are the care instructions for your garments?
The vast majority of our garments are made of either 100% premium cotton or 97% premium cotton and 3% elastane for an extra 'give'. For the best longevity of the garment we recommend hand washing cold with like colors and hang drying. Iron in medium temperature (no more than 300 Farenheit, 150 Celsius). No bleach.
*What is the difference between clearance items and sample sale items?
Clearance items are brand new, unsold garments from past production lots. Sample sales are lightly used items (typically from a photo shoot) and are usually still in great condition. Both item categories are offered at a discount, so they represent good deals for our customers. They are only available in specific sizes and colors while stocks last, and are sold 'as is' (i.e. no customizations are available).
*What is the best way to contact you?
Best way is via the Etsy convo option. We check convos often (except on weekends and holidays) and in general respond within 1-2 business days.
*Do you sell wholesale?
We do not currently sell wholesale, as it is important for us to keep our prices to the end customer as low as possible, while still being able to stay in business.
*Can group orders (e.g. for a bridal party) be paid in installments?
At this time, we regret that we cannot extend offers for partial or installment payment, and we do require all orders to be paid in full at the time of ordering. We do however understand that sometimes customers need additional time to coordinate finances among multiple people or secure the full amount of funds. For this reason, once your listing is up and active, we are happy to keep it active and waiting for you for up to 30 days, until you are ready to place your order.
*Do you offer discounts on group orders (e.g. bridesmaids dresses)?
Yes, for orders of 3 or more items we offer free shipping within the USA. For orders of 6 or more items, we offer a 10% discount in addition to free US shipping.
*Any other ways to get a discount?
Yes. Send us a photo wearing your Vintage Me Up item and get 10% of your item's value back! By sending your photo, you agree that you allow us to feature it on our Etsy shop and/or on our official website for showcase purposes. We will never share, sell or otherwise use customer photos for any purpose other than the above. To be eligible for the 10% cash back, we must receive your photo within 90 days of receipt of your item. Simply convo us with your photo attachment and we will refund you 10% of your item's value (minus shipping fees and any sales tax).
*What are your business days/hours?
We work Monday-Friday 9am-5pm Pacific time. On occasion we may respond to convos outside those hours. We are closed on weekends and observe all federal holidays. We are also closed between Christmas Eve and New Year's Day. In cases of an absence or vacation that may affect turnaround times, we provide as much advance notice as possible to minimize disruptions through our shop announcements.
