About

Pieces of History

Like many of you, I grew up shopping primarily at thrift stores. It started out as a necessity due to being in a single parent family with few extra resources. But soon, during my teen years, it kind of morphed into an expression of who I was.

When I bought older clothing from different time periods, I liked feeling that I was giving it a new life!

My mom taught me to scour yard & estate sales for hidden treasures and to look beyond the surface of things.

The mentality that each item told a bit of history appealed to me. Things are still here even after the original owner is gone.....and we get to give it new life...that's special.

I've always been attracted to things that tell a story. The older, the better. To me, it tells a story I wasn't alive to see or hear firsthand. It allows us a glimpse into the daily life of people who came before us.

Hello & Welcome!!

Here's some info to help you have a wonderful experience purchasing from our shop!

MEASUREMENTS OF ITEMS:
To ensure your happiness, we'd like to ask that you PLEASE take time to check the item's measurements to ensure a proper fit.

Please take a similar garment that you know fits you well, lay it flat and measure it (across the shoulders, across from underarm to underarm, and then across the hips etc). Then compare those measurements with the measurements of the item listed for sale. If they are similar the chances of a good fit are great!

We want you to L-O-V-E your purchase.......and the way it fits!!

Feel free to convo us if you need additional measurements or with any other questions.

ITEM CONDITION:

All our items have been checked for noticeable spots, holes, tears etc.. any obvious blemishes.

If an item DOES have an obvious imperfection we will ABSOLUTELY disclose it!
Most items with large/obvious imperfections will not even be listed for sale.
If it is, that means it is a terrific vintage find and will be offered with a disclaimer.

Shoes and boots will have slight creases on the outside from previous owners.
The bottom sole will show wear, unless deadstock. The inner sole may show some wear.

We strive to take detailed pictures so our customers can really "see" what they are purchasing.

All our item's conditions are ultimately vintage, which means it is a minimum of 20 years old, usually much older. With that considered, all items we list have wear to them. Being vintage, they will often not be in *perfect* condition. In fact, part of the charm comes from the slight oddities, right?!!

We do our best to describe any offending smells (musty, moth balls, etc) that dry cleaning or hand laundering could not remove, and/or obvious fabric variations.

We have terrific feedback, and years of experience, so please feel confident purchasing from our shop!

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
We happily accept Paypal, credit cards and Etsy gift certificates.

Payment is kindly requested within 24 hours.

We ask for prior communication (before purchasing) if payment will not be made within 24 hrs.

We love to leave happy feedback thanking you "ever-so-much" for shopping with us!!
Shipping
We'll ship within 1-2 business days of receipt of payment.

All packages go out via USPS. Items under 15 oz can be shipped 1st Class. Items over 15 oz must go out Priority Mail. Most items are over 15 oz.

We are also willing to combine shipping for multiple purchases. We all like to save money, right?

International customers may have to pay customs or other fees or taxes when package arrives in your country. This is out of our control. PLEASE NOTE: We cannot check item as "gift" on customs form in order to help you side step any fees, it's dishonest, so we want to state that up front. If an item was purchased, we must honestly disclose the amount you paid for it. We will however, list it as a 'used' item. And do our best to save you money.
Refunds and Exchanges
If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Always wanted to say that.

Seriously though.

We package all items with utmost care. If something is breakable we'll add insurance to shipping charge. If it's an item of clothing or footwear, you'll probably be fine. If something happens to it after leaving our hands and the post office won't help, sadly there is no way to replace a unique vintage item.

We do NOT accept returns for unwanted items, items that do not fit properly, or buyers remorse.

The reason why is pretty simple:
We list all measurements in order for you to ensure the proper fit. These items are vintage. That means they are at least 20 years old. That means they are not brand new. We ALWAYS list any and all flaws we take note of during our thorough inspections.

If you feel you're an exception to the "rule" as they say, please contact us. We've been told all-in-all we're pretty reasonable people and treat others how we would want to be treated!
Additional policies and FAQs
You will be proud to have purchased your own little bit of history.

It will be packaged with loving meticulous care. We will contact you to confirm that it has been shipped.

Feel free to contact us with any and all questions about any and all things.

In the meantime sit tight & your package will arrive before you can say "What's the meaning of these shenanigans?"
