Announcement   Thanks for stopping by. I decided to newly open this shop to share some of my collection of vintage and antique textiles and trims. I simply ADORE the look and feel of antique textiles. They just don't make things as lovely as they did back years ago. When I find something for my creating that I love, I generally scoop it up, as it is getting harder to find such beautiful old delights.
Now I am finding myself running out of room to store my never ending LOVE AFFAIR of collecting such beautiful treasures - I've opened this shop in hopes of sharing some with others that appreciate such treasures from yesteryear.
THANKS for peeking and please watch for more rare finds in the future.

About

Sharing Finds From Yesteryear With Fellow Creative Souls

I began creating teddy bears nearly 10 years ago for my first born daughter, Abby and immediately fell in love with the art. When I began to offer my creations for sale I was pleasantly pleased by a following of collectors from around the world. When my second daughter, Elizabeth, came along, the time for creating became less frequent, as the time with my girls came first, as most moms would agree... it was during this time that I began making ribbonwork and collecting beautiful antique trims and textiles to use in my art of teddy bears, art dolls and ribbonwork. And my collection grew and grew and grew - always looking for the perfect old trimming to add a little uniqueness to my creations. There is nothing like the beauty of antique and vintage textiles - so much talent and detail was put into every peice. I love that these peices have a history with their uniqueness and add the perfect charm to creations - that which cannot be found in textiles of today.
Now, with both my girls in school, I am finding more time to get back to my love of creating. And in doing so have realized my massive collection of antique textiles I would never be able to use myself in all my time... so have decided to share some of my rare finds that I have extra of with others that seek such delightful finds from yesteryear.
Here you may also find on occasion my ribbonwork artwork. I am fasinated by the beautiful items made in the 1920s-1930s and collect and study this artform. I love recreating in the same form as was done back then... a needle and thread with old ribbons to create unique ribbonflowers and designs... I use no glue and each detail in these peices is entirely handsewn by me.
I hope here in my little shop located on the wide open prairies you will find something unique to add to your creative collection as well. Thanks for peeking!
