Shop policies

I've collected many interesting and beautiful things over the decades and started selling on eBay, craigslist and at flea markets two years ago. It makes me happy when a buyer connects with something and becomes the new owner. Each item I sell has a history. Someone once loved it very much and I hope that love gets passed on.

***I recently received negative feedback from someone who went and had work done on a watch she bought from me and three weeks later demanded I reimburse her. In my years of selling on-line, I've never had something like this happen. Please read my refund/exchange policies. I am very easygoing about it as I want my customers to be happy.

Accepted payment methods

  • Money Order
  • Check
Paypal and money orders are preferred. Personal checks are fine if the item is less than fifty dollars unless we've discussed it and mutually agreed. If you are paying by check, please let me know it's on the way. I will send the item as soon as the payment has cleared. Please pay for the item in a timely fashion, i.e., no later than three days after purchase otherwise the item will be relisted. Thanks for understanding.
PLEASE NOTE my shipping prices are for USPS Priority or First Class mail, or UPS if the item is very large. I will ship internationally. Convo me for a quote. If you would like to include extra shipping insurance, please let me know prior to paying.
Refunds and Exchanges
If you are unhappy with the item, please contact me no later than three days after its arrival. Buyer is responsible for shipping charges and I only ask that it return in the same condition as it was sent. I had one customer give me a negative review because the watch she purchased wasn't working properly upon it's arrival. I offered to reimburse her if she returned it ASAP. Instead I received this note:
"Thanks so much for getting back to me so quickly,
I've taken the watch into a watch maker here in Winnipeg and I'm awaiting they're appraisal.. The girl I was speaking to said that it looks like it just needs a simple cleaning and regreasing. I'll get back to you when I know more but it should be as simple as that. I'm hoping that it isn't damaged, I love it and can't wait to wear it!

I didn't hear back from her until 3 1/2 weeks later. She wrote me a nasty letter demanding her money back because of the money she spent money fixing it. Never consulted me beforehand, never gave me an estimate and never even told me what was wrong with it.

Etsy has a policy not to get involved in disputes even though I furnished them with copies of all of our convos. I have been otherwise really fortunate to have met wonderful, honest people on this site and look forward to meeting many many more. I am very fair and expect others to treat me with the same respect!
