This is a custom cake box made for my son's first year photos. I sent photos of cakes that I liked along with the colors I wanted and in less than two weeks this gorgeous cake box arrived at my door step!! It was exactly what I had envisioned and matched my son's outfit for his photos perfectly!! I couldn't be more happy with the excellent customer service and accuracy of the custom cake box!! I would highly recommend using this company!!

Welcome buyers and browsers alike! Before you get to the fun stuff of shopping, let me tell you a bit about my store policies and how I create most of the items you see for sale here. Where do my ideas and items come from? As most crafters, writers and artists will tell you, very often an idea just strikes out of the blue. A flash of color, a picture, a scrap of conversation--all can be a creative catalyst. It can be anything from an obscure detail that most people wouldn't notice to a big life event that sets the creative process in motion. That's true for me as well. Although art and design offer the most abundant opportunities for my inspiration, that special "click" can come from even the most mundane details of my day. Sometimes a rush of ideas just comes tumbling out and I don't know where the inspiration comes from--but I am so glad it does come!
And there are those times that I have an idea, I'm excited, I'm running with it and... it just falls flat. My original idea just runs out of gas. Then, in that case, I might let my materials take over the direction. Hmmmm, this piece of jewlery might work here...Hey, this button is better...And if I use this button, then this scrap of fabric would work too... There I go, being carried on the stream of supplies and colors and fabrics that somehow find their way together, with me along for the ride.
OK, enough of that hi-falutin artsty talk. Back down to business. What do I actually USE to make my items? They're created using a mix of new materials as well as vintage treasures I find while I'm nosing around my favorite local second-hand shop, or browsing my usual on-line haunts. The glues that hold everything together--literally--are a few favorite adhesives that never let me down. I get those in bulk whenever I can, on sale on rare occasions. They're just too essential to hold off waiting for the "right" price. So, even though it might hurt, I pay whatever is necessary for these stalwart craft companions. (Maybe one day it won't matter so much what they cost, but that day is not today.)
And that brings me to my Etsy shop. I thought this site was the best vehicle to bring my items to you, those who appreciate handmade goods. You are those who know how important handcrafted items are to the business of America, to our culture and to the person who acutally puts hands to materials, bringing ideas to reality. Thank you for your interest...now you can get back to browsing!

Shipping
I generally ship within 3-4 business days and use Priority Mail by the USPS. If you need your items by a certain date, please let me know and we can certainly work out a swifter way of getting your items to you. If you pay by check, merchandise will be shipped AFTER the check has cleared.
I will glady combine shipping for multiple items purchased within 3 days of first item. Please let me know when you make your first purchase that you are still deciding or still browsing and I will hold your invoice until all your purchases are made.
I only ship within the U.S. and Puerto Rico. However, I will ship to Canada, provided you ask for shipping charges before purchase--that prevents unwelcome surprises on both ends.
I only charge exact shipping costs--no handling fees, packaging fees, etc. (Most of my packaging materials are gently used and clean.)
Finally, if you want insurance, please ask for it to be added to the shipping cost.
Refunds and Exchanges
I do not accept returns. I describe my items well and photograph them as best I can. So there should be no unwelcome surprises when you receive your purchase. That being said, mistakes do happen. If you are disappointed, please contact me within 2 days of receipt of your order. I'd like the opportunity to make your experience with my Etsy shop a positive one.
Additional policies and FAQs
I create my items in a NON-SMOKING home. I do have a pet--a Maltese dog, which is one of the least allergenic dogs. If you are highly allergic to animal dander, however, I would advise caution in purchasing items from my shop.
I happily accept custom orders! Please convo me with details, such as color, theme, style, date requested, etc. and I will send you back an estimate. Let's partner up!
Feedback is an important part of the Etsy experience. I need to know not only that you received your order, but that you were happy with the item itself and the service you received. So please leave me feedback right away to let me know! Of course, I will be happy to let others know that you were a model customer!
Please be aware that each and every item I list in my shop is an exclusive creation of mine! I retain the copyright on my items even after sale. Thank you for honoring my copyright.
