Announcement   For my Etsy shop I have put together a collection of handmade items many of which I have crafted myself along with vintage and antique finds. Many of the items I am selling are one of a kind estate pieces, decorative silver and vintage glass, antique books and vintage ephemera, soft furnishings and samples from my design company stock, along with architectural salvage, hardware and vintage lighting accessories.

My stock has quite a quick turnover so I suggest that when you see something that you simply can't live without add it to your cart or convo me to put it on reserve for you.

Now let’s get you shopping!

About

How it all began...

I have been involved in the Interior Design Home Decor world for the last 20 years but really crafting and designing has been my first love since I was a child. I grew up on a small working Eastern Ontario farm, where we gardened, antiqued and renovated as a family.

When I moved to the big city I studied art cooking and design whenever I could while still maintaining my then starving artist apartment. Later I was lucky to apprentice with different contractors, visual artists and tradespeople to acquire many of the design management skills I have today.

I had my first daughter in the early 90s and was newly married so I needed to think of a way that I could work from home while taking care of her. It was then I started to sell my handmade pillows, bedding, rehabbed furniture, designer fabrics and vintage items online in in different décor boutiques.

Two more beautiful children later I decided to open my design firm in downtown Toronto. I consider myself fortunate to have designed and renovated for some of the city’s most prestigious and even famous clientele but they weren’t the only people I served, I also loved to sell many of my designer items and antique finds at a lower than standard retail prices so supplied for other designers as well.

I was quintessentially regarded as the “accessible couturier”.

After many happy years there I decided to scale down the business. I had become so busy that there was very little quality time available and I still had a growing family. My husband suggested that I eventually work from home since that is where I did most of my best work and he was right. I continued to design for clients and manage builds while having more quality time for my family and I am so glad to have made that change.

Now I am in a beautiful lakeside town, creating a website, and I am just getting started here on Etsy and I have to say that I just love it! I love the likeminded community of artists and creators and I honestly wondered what I did with my time before Etsy.

It is so rewarding working with vintage items and antiques and translating them into traditional and country décor and up-cycling when I can, I hope to supply and inspire with my many unique collectibles and estate finds.
