These glasses are great. We mainly use the large ones for all wine because the white wine glasses are much smaller by today's standards (but we had a hunch they would be, so it's no problem). The color and shape are terrific; we love the '70s vibe. And Joni with Vintagerous is fantastic. We received the glasses right away, and they were extremely well packed and arrived in pristine condition. Joni was diligent in following up and highly responsive. Couldn't recommend her more!

About

My path to selling vintage glass happened rather serendipitously.

I was feeling a need to get back into retail sales. When my daughter was a wee thing, I had a business selling children’s art supplies and teaching creativity to parents, teachers etc. It is a time in my life that I look back on with fondness as I truly love how sometimes an object or process can bring people joy and I can be a small part of that.

I surveyed my home and noticed that the objects that I truly treasured were my vintage glass and china pieces that I’ve inherited, received as a gift or bought myself while on travels or as a treat. I've been complimented on my eye for the great find. And I truly love things with a history. I also noticed I had a large empty shelving unit and realized I walk by a post office every day. So, online sales seemed like a good option.

Then, one day while on a picking adventure, I met a woman who sold vintage stuff in a brick and mortar store. She told me about her challenges with overhead, staffing etc. and about Etsy. I couldn’t wait to get home and explore Etsy to see what it was all about. I fell instantly in love with the Etsy concept, look and feel. The rest is history…

I think that buying or selling vintage is much more than a simple transaction. I see my role as curator to hunt, select and research vintage items that I can envision adding character to a home; be it a mid-century modern bungalow or a Victorian charmer or a more modern home that loves the paradox of mixing vintage with new.

I love vintage items because they aren’t as easy to find and so their uniqueness or rareness help give space curiosity. I weep at the thought that these beautiful things could be discarded and unloved; and worse, designated as waste. I sell vintage so that these pre-loved goodies find a new home so that they can be loved again.

I also seek out collectible vintage to sell as an investment. A beautiful glass vase is so much prettier than a stock or a bond. Don't you agree?

I love learning about an item’s history; be it the stories from a previous owner or researching with books and the web to discover the date it was made and the maker’s history. Sometimes, I even fantasize about an item’s prior owner and how they used the item. And often, I buy things to sell because they remind me of my childhood or my parent’s or grandparent’s childhood. I love reminiscing as I scrub, polish and photograph the items for sale.

I hope you enjoy shopping in my store and that you find a treasure that sings to you.

Shipping
~~~Do you need this order quickly?
Purchase a shipping upgrade to Xpress post or Priority Post at checkout or if you forget to purchase an upgrade at checkout, you can use these links and purchase an upgrade after purchasing but please do so very quickly so I don't process your order without upgrading it:
Xpress post - up to 4 business days:
Priority Post - up to 2 business days.
~~~Do I give a discount on shipping if you buy more stuff from me?

YES! I’d be a silly girl not to! I refund any shipping overages over $1 for combined purchases.

If you order more than 4 heavier items, I may need to split the shipments up into 2 or more parcels due to weight restrictions or possible customs headaches. This may mean that I have to invoice you for additional shipping costs. I will message you to discuss this if it applies and make sure you are comfortable with the costs.

~~~Shipments to USA:
When will your package arrive, my dear neighbor (I’ll not include the “u” in neighbour just for you)? Crystal ball sorta stuff but you should expect it to take about 4-14 days. I usually ship via Canada Post and the type of service depends on the size and weight of the shipment. I tend to use Expedited Parcel – USA as most packages weigh more than 1 kg and tracking is included in the cost (shipping costs over $14USD are sent via Expedited).
I use small packet airmail for smaller, lighter items especially if they are lower priced to keep the shipping cost down but small packet airmail is not tracked even though Canada Post issues a tracking number (it will just tell you that the package was "accepted" at the post office). Canada Post tracks all shipments for disputes but only shares the tracking report to customers that use Expedited or Xpress shipping. If your shipping cost is under $14USD, then I am sending it Small Packet Airmail.
You (the buyer) are responsible for any duties, customs and taxes levied by your country.
~~~Shipments to Canada:

First of all, isn't it wonderful that you found something IN CANADA that you want to buy online? Delivery can take 2 to 10 days, depending on your postal code. I use Expedited Parcel for most shipments.

Canadians get free domestic shipping on orders over $99 USD! Use the coupon code "CANBUYER99" at checkout.

~~~Do you live in the Lower Mainland of BC?
I’ll happily arrange a rendezvous so you can avoid shipping charges. As you’ll be automatically charged the shipping costs when purchasing, I’ll give you a cash refund when we meet up. Or, send me a convo and I'll send you a coupon code prior to purchase for free shipping. If the meet-up requires me to drive a bit, I may need to charge a small delivery fee ($5) to cover my gas and time. We’ll discuss this.
~~~Shipping Internationally:

Glass is heavy and so shipping internationally is expensive but the price I quote is for up to 4.3 pounds and a box that has a combined H+L+W not exceeding 35 inches. I ship items using Canada Post Tracked Packet International with extra packing materials (sorry parents, yes your kids will drive you nuts popping all the bubble wrap). I find to most countries it costs between $53-72 and arrives in up to 10 days. If you need it faster, please upgrade to Xpress or priority post (links at checkout or above). While the cost is high, adding other light, small items will not cost you extra in shipping as long as you stay within the size and weight limits. I have set my "additional item" cost to zero to allow you to add another item without increasing your shipping charge. If you go over in weight or size, I'll email you and discuss your options.

You (the buyer) are responsible for any duties, customs and taxes levied by your country (e.g. VAT).

********************
My price includes the cost of packaging materials. I pack the treasures with love and attention. This translates to lots of bubble wrap so the kids in your life will drive you nuts with all the popping but your goodies will arrive safely. Bubble wrap does cost a bit but I think you and your new purchase are worth it, don’t you? I factor the cost of packing materials into my prices.

To keep shipping costs down, I highly recommend a) choosing lightweight items and b) combining purchases i.e. buying gifts etc. so that the combined shipping cost is reasonable. For example, you can often ship 2 or 3 lightweight items together for little more than the one item cost. Note if you like heavy glass and your combined purchase goes over the 4.3 pound limit, you’ll have to upgrade to Xpress post. I’ll let you know by convo if you have exceeded the weight limit and explain your options.

Please convo me (click on the “contact” link) with any shipping questions.
Refunds and Exchanges
My goal is that you have a big smile on your face when you open the box and look at your purchase.

If your package arrives and you have a frown on your face and want to return it, let me know and we’ll arrange a return. I will refund the full purchase price if the item is returned in the condition it was in at purchase but will not refund shipping charges including the return shipping costs.

If your item gets damaged in the shipping process, please send me an email within 24 hours with 2-3 pictures of the box and entire shipment (broken and not). Note: the pictures must clearly show the outside of the box and all of the contents - broken or not. Once I have the pictures, I will access the damage from the pictures and work with you to resolve the issue depending on the extent of the damage.

If your item gets lost in the shipping process i.e. no delivery after 14 days beyond when the parcel was to arrive, I will need to make a claim. Please let me know of the problem and I will refund your purchase once the claim process is successful (usually a couple of weeks but it can take longer).
Additional policies and FAQs
Are you a collector? If so, please contact me (convo) and let me know the colour, pattern and pieces that would excite you to no end! I'll add you to my collector's list.

I keep a list of collectors and what they collect to help me when I am searching for inventory for the shop. If I list something you collect, you will get an email letting you know about the pending listing and when it will be live on the site so you'll get first dibs.

If you prefer cm to inches: 1 Inch = 2.54 Centimeters. I will be working on adding cm to my measurements but it may take me some time.
