Visker & Scrivener
Visker & Scrivener is a purveyor of fine writing quills, book, and other oddities inspired by times long since past. Behind each hand-crafted product is extensive research in the history of writing, a love of creating, and a desire to encourage artists by providing beautiful and functional tools of the trade.
With a background in printmaking and leather work, Visker’s choice of book-binding was a natural option when diving into the world of art festivals. He progressed successfully at small, local festivals in the Houston area, while keeping an eye out for new and intriguing ideas.
Six years later the team has participated annually at The Texas Renaissance Festival (Houston), Sherwood Forest Festival (Austin), and Dickens on the Strand (Galveston), and maintains a store-front/workshop in Galveston’s Historic District.
This Etsy shop is their opportunity to inspire creativity and revive the art of traditional penmanship and illustration with the rest of the world. Welcome.
