I am an artist, an educator and a mentor. For more than 40 years I have developed structural packaging and graphics for the biggest corporations from Coca-Cola Global to Bacardi to Apple to MetLife, etc…

The genesis of my love of bold and paired down design is rooted in my background as a graphic designer in New York City. I had since broadened my tools by seeking other media to depict vision: resin, wire, paint, paper and plastics become transformed into abstract patterns that are playful dialogues on simple, everyday objects and stories. A shoe for a giant, totems that point to childhood building blocks, stories from my homeland of Quebec; all of these works are the musings of a love affair with the simpler, clearer, and more poetic parts of a very personal visual journey.

Fashion trends have always been my passion, so I have translated this knowledge and passion into sculpture. Sometimes my artwork takes a critical view of social, political and cultural issues. Often referencing fashion, my work explores the varying relationships between popular culture and fine art. My work reproduces familiar visual objects, arranging them into new conceptual art. While I use a variety of materials and processes in each project, my methodology is consistent. Although there may not always be material similarities between the different projects, they are linked by the subject matter.

Each project often consists of multiple works, often in a range of different media, grouped around specific themes and meanings. During research and production new areas of interest arise and lead to the next body of work. My current work continues this investigation of a consumer society. Over the past years, I have created a series of objects that deconstruct idealized domestic scenes.
