Before talking about the future, a little step back is necessary to understand the passion that inhabits me today.

I have been living in Abitibi since 1980 but I was born in Montreal, to a mother "the greatest seamstress" and a father "house builder".

How many hours, amazed, I spent watching them work, sitting, without saying words, eyes fixed on their hands, their hands so skillful, those of my dad when he "built" at home and what about the hands of "the greatest seamstress", intelligent hands and so skillful.

Both of them passed on to me the passion and love of careful and well done work!

Already at 10 years old, I had become a "great seamstress", it was at this age that I made the first sales of my creations, very proud, the little girl.
And yes, they were dolls and stuffed animals!

When I discovered crochet as a teenager, I had a "mega" crush on this new way of working.
Lots of images came to my mind, dolls, doggies, cuddly toys, but of course, teenagers, we don't do that anymore, let's see!........ way too baby!

My pride still led me to develop my art of crochet and knitting in another way. In addition, I explored new mediums, such as macramé, embroidery, painting.

It wasn't until the grandchildren arrived that this doggies madness took me back more beautifully.

And today, when I am asked what I am most proud of, without hesitation, I answer,

"the stars"

And why the stars?

Because that's what I see in children's eyes when they look at my creations, whether they're young or old, I see their eyes shining and when a big "WOW!
it is my own eyes that shine in their turn!

The passion for soft toys has been with me since I was 10 years old and it will be so until the end of time, it's my dream!

Avant de parler d’avenir, un petit retour en arrière s’impose pour comprendre la passion qui m'habite aujourd'hui .

Je vie en Abitibi depuis 1980 mais je suis né à Montréal, d'une maman "la plusss grande Couturière" et d'un papa "constructeur de maison".

Combien d'heures, émerveillée, j'ai passée à les regarder travailler, assise, sans dire mots, les yeux fixés sur leurs mains, leurs mains si habiles, celles de mon papa quant il "constructait" à la maison et que dire des mains de "la plusss grande couturière", mains intelligentes et si habiles.

Tous deux m'ont transmis la passion et l'amour du travail soigné et bien fait !

Déjà à 10 ans, j'étais devenu une "grande couturière", c'est à cette âge que j'ai fais les premières ventes de mes créations, bien fière, la petite fille.
Et oui, c'était des poupées et des peluches!

Quand j'ai découvert le crochet, adolescente, j'ai eu un "méga" coup de coeur pour cette nouvelle façon de travailler.
Pleins d'images me sont venu en tête, poupées, toutous, doudous, mais bien sur, adolescente, on ne fait plus ça, voyons-donc!........ bien trop bébé!

Mon orgueil m’a quand même amené à développer mon art du crochet et du tricot d’une autre façon. En plus, j’ai explorée de nouveaux médiums, tel que le macramé, la broderie, la peinture.

Ce n'est que lorsque les petits-enfants sont arrivés, que cette folie des toutous m'a reprise de plus belle.

Et aujourd'hui, quant on me demande de quoi je suis le plus fière, sans hésitation, je répond,

"les étoiles"

Et pourquoi les étoiles?

Parce que c'est ce que je vois dans les yeux des enfants quand ils regardent mes créations, qu'ils soient petits ou grands, je vois leurs yeux briller et lorsque que retentit un gros "WOW!,
ce sont mes yeux à moi qui brillent à leurs tour!

La passion des peluches m'habite depuis mes 10 ans et ce sera ainsi jusqu'à la fin des temps, c'est mon rêve!
