Each of my listings notes a recommended number of whiskers to send. Each setting requires a different number depending on the setting size. (If you're short a whisker or two, no worries! Most settings look amazing even with 1 whisker!) ^..^

Whiskers, ashes and fur are all safely set and sealed with a crystal clear jeweler's grade epoxy resin that's formulated for high resistance to light exposure and UV rays from the sun. The resin coating is extremely durable, waterproof, heat & chemical resistant.

As a general rule, it is recommended to remove all your jewelry before you take a shower. Keeping it in a safe, dry place will help preserve its beauty and integrity for a long time.

Wearing solid gold jewelry, white gold or yellow gold, in the shower will not harm the metal itself, however it can reduce the shine therefore it is not recommended. Sterling Silver jewelry tarnishes when it is exposed to moisture and sulfur in the air but can easily be removed with a polishing cloth. Showering with gold plated jewelry can eventually cause the gold layer to wear off completely, therefore you should definitely refrain from doing so.

(Soaps, oils, and lotions tend to leave a film on jewelry, effectively dulling their sparkle.)

Please avoid harsh chemicals. I personally use Sunshine Polishing cloths to safely clean just about everything! Recommended for gold, silver, brass, and copper - sunshine cloths are pre-treated with a high-quality, micro-abrasive polishing compound that shines metals right up.
