welcome to my little shop!

VonnLou DESIGNS was born out of a love for design, stationery, invitations, hand lettered fonts, paper & art.

I'm Cheryl, owner & designer. I offer custom hand illustrated invitations & rubber stamps. I also create hand illustrated & hand lettered logos & branding, as well as fun printables that hopefully make life a bit more organized & fun! I love taking on new projects that continually challenge & grow me as a designer, so custom requests are welcomed!

Throughout college I worked as a graphic designer & calligrapher for a quaint shop in Long Beach. I attended Long Beach State University where I earned my BA in Liberal Studies, a Multiple Subject Credential, Minor in Science & a MA in Reading Education. After graduating, I used art within the classroom to help inspire the minds & creativity of first graders for six years. While I loved teaching, my dream since I was a little girl was to be a stay-at-home mom like my own mom! Since having three little babes of my own, I've been fortunate enough to stay home & create custom designs for customers like you!

The Lord has blessed me with a husband who I think is pretty amazing (& hot!)… & three little ones- a 7 year old daughter, 5 year old son & 3 year old son.

what is your TURN-AROUND time?

turn-around times are ALWAYS updated in "announcements"

INVITATIONS:
custom digital designs are sent out via email within 24-48 hours (weekdays). please note, your order will be delayed if I need to send you a message for clarification or missing information. PLEASE be sure to include ALL of the info that is needed. NO physical item will be shipped.

RUBBER STAMPS:
digital proofs are sent through etsy messages within 24-48 hours (weekdays). shipped within 6-10 business days from proof approval.

NOTEPADS & TOOTH FAIRY PACKS:
shipped within 1-3 business days

ILLUSTRATIONS:
digital proofs are sent through etsy messages within 5-6 days (weekdays). if approved, final files will be sent immediately after.

what is a PROOF?

You will receive one digital proof (whether your purchase is a digital design or rubber stamp). This proof is to make minor changes/adjustments if errors are made by VonnLouDESIGNS. Your order includes one proof & a final proof (if adjustments needed to be made). Additional proofs may have an additional charge.
While you will have the opportunity to make changes to your design at this point in the process, major changes may incur an additional charge that will be determined by VonnLouDESIGNS.

can I cancel my order or get a refund?

Cancellations are not available after 1 hour of purchase, as your design work will begin asap.
Due to the nature of digital items & custom design work, refunds/exchanges cannot be accepted. Refunds are not accepted once digital proofs are sent. Custom orders are non refundable.

Buyers are responsible for knowing what they are purchasing by:
+ reading the items' title & entire listing description
+ reading VonnLouDESIGNS shop policies

I want you to LOVE what you receive! If you have any concerns with your digital design, please contact me as soon as possible.

how will I know when my package has shipped?

As soon as your item(s) are packed up, I will send you your tracking info through etsy messages. I will NOT print out a shipping label for your order prior to your item(s) being ready to ship!
Your item(s) will be shipped out within the estimated time frame unless I have contacted you otherwise.

what can I expect with my package?

VonnLouDESIGNS packages your stamp(s)/notepads carefully in a weather-proof bubble mailer. Stickers/printed portraits are packaged in a clear protective sleeve & a rigid mailer.
I am not responsible for any damage done to your package or its contents once your item is out of my hands & in the process of shipping.

what file format should I choose & where do I print digital items?

The BEST thing to do before purchasing the listing is to ask/look up the required file format where you plan to print.

INVITATIONS:
+ single JPEG + print through a photo printing company (costco, shutterfly, vistaprint, etc)
+ 2 PDFs/sheet + print through a local print shop (kinkos, staples, etc) or from home

BUSINESS CARDS + OTHER PRINTABLES:
+ single JPEG & single PDF + print through a site (vistaprint, got print, etc) bleed/area will be added to easily upload directly to the site - MOST customers choose this!
+ multiple per/sheet + print through a local print shop (kinkos, staples, etc) or from home. this is NOT an ideal choice for back-to-back business cards because it is very hard to line them up!

can you create a custom design for me?

yes! I love creating custom designs for customers for both digital designs & rubber stamps.
Please message me through etsy messages to discuss what you would like. It is VERY helpful to be as specific as possible in your first message to me so I can determine whether or not I can complete your request. For example, if you are looking for a custom stamp, please tell me what the stamp will be used for, if you would like text only/artwork only/text & artwork, what size (roughly) you'd like it to be, etc. The MORE info, the BETTER!
While I love custom requests/custom orders, they take more time. I try to respond to requests as quickly as possible, but please allow up to 4 business days for a response.

do you create logos?

yes! Again, I LOVE doing custom designs for customers & logos are one of my FAVORITE things to create!
Logos are taken on at my discretion. I want to make sure we are on the same page & go into the design process knowing that I can create exactly what you are looking for! For this reason, logos are NOT listed within the shop.
If you are interested in allowing me to create a logo for you, please message me through etsy messages. I will then send you a price list with various pricing packages & options for branding materials, etc. Once you have decided on a package/bundle you will then receive a design questionnaire to help guide me in the direction we are going.
