Playing with Fire!

Lampworking or Flameworking is the art of manipulating hot glass with a torch. The glass is melted inches away from the artist's face in a torch that can reach 4,500 degrees F. Because the glass is heated form a cold state there is no need for a crucible and larger kilns, so the studio can be small and built at home.

My name is Kenny Talamas and I make my sole living by creating and selling glass art. I was shown the 'way of the flame' by Robert Mickelson in 1998 and over the years I have worked with other glass artists and visited many shops to develop my own personal perspective. I have moved from Florida to Oregon and built many Glass Studios (Star Ships) at Home along the way.

We also are proud to work with and offer the Glass creations of Eli and Tim Mazet as well as a few other artist who are on our team.

We ship directly to customers and collectors from all over the World. You can also find our work in a few galleries across the United States

Your purchase will fuel the fire and allow us to continue to be Independent Artists!
We believe Life Is Art , so any profits that are made after our bills are paid will be used to support other Artists as well as Organic Food Producers and business with sustainable practices as much as possible.

We use only biodegradable shipping materials, or recycled materials collected from local businesses.
Thank you for you interest and purchases.
'We make Glass Art, but, You, help make that possible'.

  • Kenny Talamas

    Owner, Artist, Shipper

I'm a Full Time Flameworker. I've been "playing with fire" for over 20 years. In 1998 I learned the craft of Lampworked (Flameworked) Glass from Robert Mickelson at the Penland School of Crafts. I am very grateful!

  • Allison Byrd

    Artist

I'm also a Full Time Flameworker! I learned the craft from Kenny after watching him for many years. I've been playing with fire for about 5 years now and I love it! I am currently making Beads, Marbles, and small sculptures.

  • Eli and Tim Mazet

    Artist

Eli Mazet and Tim Mazet are brothers and have been flameworking glass since 2000. They were originally initiated into glass by their older brother Josh Mazet. The Mazet brothers have received many awards for their innovative glass designs

  • Chris Upp

    Artist

With over 20 years of glass blowing experience, Chris is inspired daily by the Pacific Ocean and the sea life that lives in it. His creations are hand sculpted with skill and come to life with realistic 'murrine' eyes and flowing bodies.
