About

Bringing my artist dreams to reality!

I first began my shop while I was still in college at the University of Minnesota. I didn't have the time for it back then between working fulltime and going to school fulltime, and let it slide into nonexistence. When I graduated, I began selling my art locally in my hometown of Anoka, MN. I experienced new and very exciting success in selling my art in a local consignment store called Chema Malu, where my art is still currently available. I also participate in a few arts and craft fairs a year. I decided to go back to graduate school to become an art teacher and share my love for art with my community as my career. I have been teaching for two years now, last year 7-12th grade, and this year K-8. I dream of introducing my students to glass some day!

Additional policies and FAQs
The process of stained glass art almost always uses solder containing lead. Unless it is specified, please assume that any stained glass art does contain lead. A common misconception is that anything that contains lead is dangerous. The danger with lead lies in ingesting lead particles and inhaling lead fumes (fumes are only produced during the production of a soldered item). Finished products do not cast fumes or particles that will be inhaled and products that contain lead should never be placed in one's mouth.
I most often will use 60/40 or 50/50 lead/tin solder, which are both standard ratios from stained glass suppliers.
My stained glass items are safe to have in your home, as well as other stained glass items you may find throughout the world. Stained glass items should not be worn as jewelry unless jewelry-grade solder has specifically been used.

My items are made from many forms of glass - new art glass, recycled glass, bottles, windows, etc and are not to be considered toys. Please keep out of reach of children who may put items in their mouths or injure themselves.
