Everything began in march 2011, the earth trembled and took away our project to go back for a few weeks in Japan.
The much lesser evil for us obviously, except the disappointment and except the sadness, because we knew we had the choice to run away from these images of end of the world and fly away towards another destination : New York!

Coming back from the big apple, I had my suitcase full with invaluable treasures, and a single word in my mind : letterpress !
Letterpress, evoking dusty studios, beautiful furniture filled with lead characters, the smell of ink and white spirit.
A dying technique on our old continent, where profitability rhymes with minimum prices and where the miracle of the digital technology tries to convince us that you should not look behind...

In New York nevertheless, I discovered that people looked with happiness behind to rediscover the beautiful things letterpress allowed to create: cards and notepads, invitations and totally indispensable stationery because completely superfluous, sensation of the hollow left by the pressure of the matrix on the smooth surface of precious papers.

Since then, I learn, I experiment, I sometimes fight against discouragement and impatience, I persevere, I am confident.
A comfortable studio, shared with very great people, big and beautiful friendly machine and my head full of projects.
My only limits will be the ones that I shall stand out.
