On Etsy since 2019

Our family is proud to create products made by hand in the USA!

The history of our family business began back in 1987 with my step-dad's scroll saw and my mom's creative mind. My parents, Larry and Gloria Aebly ran their business, Old World Art, out of their Roberts, WI home. My stepdad spent hours on the scroll saw cutting my mom's original hand-drawn designs, which they began selling at crafts shows around the midwest.

In 1994, Larry and Gloria purchased a laser and began making more intricate and detailed designs; and they also began to travel further from home to shows in the southern and eastern US. As their business grew, both my sister and I got involved by painting and working at art and craft shows.

In 2002 my parents began to retire, and my wife and I took over, renaming the business. Since then we've been making our own ornaments, including both my mother's designs and some of our own. My wife and I do all of the work ourselves: designing, cutting down plywood, sanding, staining, running the laser, hand-painting (many, many hours are spent on this step), varnishing and attending shows around the country.

While we have been creating and selling our unique, handmade ornaments for years at arts shows, our Etsy store just opened in July of 2019.

Thank you for supporting our small business and purchasing products made in the USA!

I took over the family business in 2001 and never looked back! I live in Hudson, WI with my wife, two children and our dog. One of my favorite things about my job is creating ways for families to commemorate special life events. Thanks for stopping!

I was lucky to marry into a family of incredibly talented artists! Jason is definitely the creative one in our family but I help out with painting, marketing and customer service! I also enjoy accompanying Jason to art shows around the country!

Frequently asked questions
How do you personalize your ornaments?

We do all of our personalizing by hand with an extra fine point permanent marker. The writing is difficult to remove without damaging the ornament so please double check spellings and dates. Occasionally we do make mistakes. If we make an error please contact us right away via Etsy messenger so we can send a replacement.

How will I be contacted if there is a question regarding my order?

We will contact you via Etsy messenger if we have any questions regarding your order. Please check your messages so that your order is not held up by a question.

When will I receive my order?

We update our processing times based on how long it is taking us to complete orders. If for any reason there is a delay on your order we will notify you via Etsy messenger. Our shipping is all done via USPS. Your tracking number will be included in your shipping confirmation email from Etsy. Once shipped the delivery time frame is completely dependent upon the USPS. We do occasionally see delays but very rarely are packages actually lost. Please contact us if your package says "in transit" for more than 3 weeks for shipments within the US. For international shipments please contact us if the transit time is more than 6 weeks.
