USPS shipping rates have continued to increase. I ship everything except 'seed only' orders with tracking. Shipping the lightest weight, small envelope now costs between $5 - $5.89 depending on how far away it is shipping to.

I refund any extra shipping costs that are $2 or more over what it actually costs to ship. Shipping light items under a pound now costs between $5-$8 depending on how heavy the package is and how far it is traveling.

I have a store here on our farmette that you can visit!! It is open Fridays, 9am - 8pm and by appt. Check my Facebook page, where I will post, should there be a reason why the store isn't open on a particular Friday. You can now see and touch all my wool fibers and yarns! I don't have stitch markers in the store because they are time consuming to make and I make them on demand when they are ordered.

I put together everything and ship everything myself. I ship 6 days a week.

Having this little fiber business has been a real blessing to me and my family, and I hope you enjoy looking around.

I have limited international shipping to a few countries, because I recently had 2 international packages get lost in transit and I just decided to limit international shipping to cut the cost of loss of packages.

Great product and easy starting spindle! Loved the wool that came with, very pretty colors. Great paper and video instructions and I enjoyed it so much I blasted through the fiber it came with and eagerly am awaiting more fiber to keep playing with this nice spindle.

The Simple Life

Growing up on a farm in central Pennsylvania, I learned to crochet from my grandmother at a young age and began selling my finished items at a local artisan village when I was older. I worked for many years with women that had fiber animals and spun their own yarn and I always found these women so interesting and wanted to try it myself!

Finally my family moved to a small homestead and it allowed me to finally fulfill my dream of raising my children on a farm and be blessed to be able to raise blue faced leicester sheep.

It is a wonderful thing to be able to share what you enjoy with others and it has been so rewarding to be able to run a fiber business out of my home through Etsy. I hope you enjoy my work, as much as I enjoy making it. You can also follow Walnut Farm Designs on Pinterest and Facebook.
