Travel helped me discover my roots by accident...
Wanderlite Roots grew from my love of traveling which actually helped me discover many surprising facts about my family’s true ancestry and it has been quite fascinating! I unknowingly traveled in their footsteps only to discover it only once I had returned home. Have you ever felt that you had to go somewhere but weren’t quite sure why? Did you ever feel that you were missing something you knew nothing about? Then when you showed up in that place you were drawn to and you felt like you had suddenly found a missing piece of yourself life and began to feel it was where you were meant to discover to truly understand your background and what that draw to those places really was. Now, I think about all those places, all those memories, and the way they made me feel, you know, the way certain places just seem to linger in memory and you find yourself thinking about it often and long to return. That’s how these places make me feel. Each design begins with a moment - a moment in time - that I have captured because of a view, a sound, a feeling - and that feeling becomes a sticker, a charm, a print or something else I create that carries that story forward.
I design every piece in my Florida studio, my hope is that each item feels like a keepsake from a journey - something that reminds you of where you've been, or where you dream to go next.
