A Life Shaped By Places
Born in rainy Rochdale, Lancashire, England, it wasn’t long after my younger brother arrived that my parents decided to up sticks and move our family to the beautiful, wild country of Papua New Guinea. I was just a toddler, and my brother was still a baby.
I spent my formative years exploring Papua New Guinea, Australia, the Pacific and many other parts of the world with my family. By the time I was a teenager, I had already travelled around the globe three times.
These experiences shaped the way I see the world and gave me a natural fascination with geography, geology and the environment.
Having grown up as an expatriate, I understand the powerful connection between people and places. The locations we have lived in, visited or left behind can become an important part of our identity, holding memories and emotions that remain with us throughout our lives.
Maps, geography and geology have always been passions of mine, but I also have a strong creative side. Combining the two inspired me to create simple, elegant map prints that celebrate meaningful places, personal memories and a sense of belonging.
I hope you find a print that connects with your own story. If you cannot find the place you are looking for, please get in touch and I will do my best to create something especially for you.
