Announcement   Welcome to my Warped Metal world on Etsy! ......

You're about to enter my world of precious metal and gems combined into wearable art......jewelry made with all of my love of wearable precious metals and gemstones.

I spend probably too much time on each piece (or so I've often been told ;), mulling over the theme or expression that each one begins with, from the colors of the metal to the symbolism of the gemstones and their placement, and every detail of each piece is as perfect as I can make it, using 10 or 15 power magnification all along the process. Using the best of technology combined with old world craftsmanship, I promise your satisfaction. Each piece is special to me, I hope it is to you also.

Please visit my shop policies page for important information about payment/shipping/custom orders. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to drop me a note via "Conversations".

Warped Metal jewelry is created entirely by me, Tim Dwornick, using decades of experience and knowledge to make your perfect dream of jewelry as wearable art come alive. Please visit my website at www.warpedmetal.com to see more of my work.

Lightning fast shipping, and super sick ring! A lovely addition to my plethora of finger candy. Thanks, Tim!

Words cannot describe how much I love this. I get lots of comments on it too. It's BIG BOLD and BEAUTIFUL as always from Tim the communication is entertaining, and the workmanship stunning. This is my second Tim piece and I am sure that there will be more in the future. Wearable art at its finest.

About

Designed With Intent.....

Warped Metal began with my childhood dream of making fun and exciting jewelry....jewelry that's generally reflective of my own metaphysical view of the world around us. That is to say, jewelry that I've made with symbolism or a message embedded from the beginning.....jewelry as wearable art.

After spending over 4 years running my own brick-and-mortar jewelry storefront in the US, I learned a big personal lesson,,,,I found a much lesser satisfaction and lack of enthusiasm for buying-and-selling commercially produced jewelry and doing repair work on client's jewelry than I did for bringing the images in my own thoughts to life in metal and gemstones. I found an abundance of experience and insight from doing thousands of repair jobs and dealing with numerous suppliers of finished products, diamonds, and gemstones; so I decided to start "Warped Metal" as an online business in June of 2009 following what I believe will be the marketplace of the future (the digital realm).

The jewelry I make here is entirely made from scratch, each step of the process depending upon the perfection of the previous steps. Starting with gemstones, diamonds, and metals, I'll obsessively spend many hours or days designing, casting, sawing, forming, filing, sanding, stone-setting, polishing, texturing, assembling, engraving, shaping, polishing (again), patinating, preserving, and documenting each piece. Can you see how that will easily turn into a challenge against obsessive perfection?....it's what I love to do and find the most rewarding. If I can add a bit of motion or an exciting touch of color, I'll certainly give that a try too!

I very much like one-of-a-kind and custom jewelry, with every piece being the only one on earth...the only one of the billions of pieces of jewelry on our planet. I think that being one craftsman making something, entirely focused on what I'm making for another human being, that thought being trapped in my consciousness all along, helps me to live in a world with less intrusively mundane repetition.

Jewelry to me should be wearable as a piece of miniature art, as an expression of one's soul, and I hope you can find some of that in every piece that I've made.

Welcome to my Warped Metal world....

My jewelry creations are all entirely made by myself, from scratch, start to finish, with my intention of original and sometimes out-of-this-world pieces of miniature wearable art of precious metals and gemstones.

If you see a piece that I've made but you'd like in a different size or different gemstone, please don't hesitate to contact me. Some pieces can't be sized or modified because of the steps to make them, but if I can, I'll certainly try to accommodate your requests.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
  • Money Order
  • Check
  • Other Method
Payment
I've found the most expeditious payment method we currently have is paypal, as it allows me to send your purchase out the same or next day after receiving notice from paypal. Bitcoin is another alternative that allows for us to complete an expeditious transaction.

If you'd like to send a money order, that also works but takes a bit longer to get to me and for me to get it to the bank before shipping your purchase.

I'll also accept personal or business checks, but please contact me first, and please note that I've not found a bank that does not hold a check for less than 21 days so I can't ship your purchase until your check clears.
Shipping
I don't make any profit from shipping, and as my jewelry creations are my sole source of income, I have to add shipping to the listings. Where possible, I've added an option to use Small Packet Air Mail, or the lowest cost trackable postal service wherever it's available. The latter is either "Tracked Packet" or "Expresspost", and shipping time is usually around 5 to 8 business days. The most up-to-date information on my shipping is available at www.canadapost.ca.

If you don't see your country listed, or have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, please feel free to convo me first, and I'll be more than happy to get an answer for you asap.

Please note that international shipments may be subject to taxes and duties by the importing country. These are your responsibility. I have no control over this aspect of a transaction. I'll attach accurate documents, including NAFTA certificates for qualifying shipments within North America.

I do not ship off-planet at this time, so please contact me and we can make alternate arrangements if necessary.
Refunds and Exchanges
I'd like you to be happy and satisfied with what I've made, so if you've any questions, concerns or critiques, or aren't satisfied in any way when you receive your jewelry, please don't hesitate to contact me by email at tim [!at] warpedmetal.com or through the etsy conversation system and we'll sort it out.

I use standard jewelers mandrels to indicate ring sizes, but if you'd like me to size anything before sending it, please contact me and I can email you a paper ring gauge to get your finger size. I don't charge extra to size rings before sending them, and you're always ok to return them to me for re-sizing. I use the best of materials and the best of workmanship, but if you'd like to take one of my pieces to your local craftsman to alter it, please remember that they've taken the responsibility for further work on your jewelry and I cannot offer further guarantees of their workmanship or materials.

I try my best to accurately describe my creations in text and photos, but please don't hesitate to contact me if you've got any questions or concerns.
Additional policies and FAQs
Please do not hesitate to inquire about any customization you might like, in regard to my jewelry creations or if you'd like a piece made especially for you. I am always happy to accommodate special requests!
