Great Item, great price, fast turnaround, prompt shipping. I purchased this for friends that own a New England home that has been in the family since the 1600s. The home is one of a kind, so I didn't want a "cookie cutter" triangle. John Andersen of Warrior Poet Workshop hand crafted this to order, and the home owners absolutely love it. With the hammer marks and character from his forge, it is truly a one of a kind match for their home.

About

From spark to raging fire

When we were young, my brothers and I, my dad read the Lord of the Rings trilogy to us. If I had to pick the pivatal turning point in my life that would be it. I fell in love with the romance of the myth. From Lord of the Ring to Chronicles of Narnia I was captivated with the epic struggle between good and evil. From this captivation came a passion for the blades that the heroes carried. Sting, Anduril, Rhindon and Brizinger all noble weapons that are symbols of hope and freedom. They are extentions of the hero that carry them, I'm sure you can name most if not all the heros that match the sword (Bilbo / Frodo, Aragorn, High King Peter and Eragon). Since I was only eleven years old at the time I did not have the means to collect replicas, so the only logical thing to do was to make them myself. I started with wood and a rasp, carving sword shapes out of 1x2 pine boards. It didn't take long before I had found my dad's angle grinder and an old peice of metal and started trying to make a 'real' knife. Ever since then I have been reading books collecting tools and practicing. A few years ago I started making a switch from blades to blacksmithing. Now I primarily make camping gear and tools, although the poetry of the blade still runs deep in my bones.

I have always been fascinated by fair tales, from Lord of the Rings to the Chronicles of Narnia. It was that fascination, and the grace of God, that first started me on the road to creating tools using fire, iron and leather.
