Crafty since I was little, despite my mixed results, I enjoy the act of creating. It could be a quick kit, cake or a bit of prose. Listening to music since the crib, I understood rhythm before I could speak and look for the beat in everything.

Frequently asked questions
What do you sell at Washi You Doing?

Washi You Doing mainly offers washi samples with a few select rolls. Washi samples are a fun way to try out different prints, colors, widths and brands without having to commit to a full roll, which may go ignored or unused after awhile.

Each listing indicates in the title and description if you'll be receiving a sample or roll. The price is also a good indicator. Samples are typically $1 each, while a full washi roll can vary from $1.50+.

For the washi samples, how much washi do I get?

Each washi sample is 24 inches or 61 cm if you're metric.

How do the washi samples arrive?

Great question! Most washi samples will be wrapped on a plastic bobbin with a hole for clasp rings or ribbon making it portable for on-the-go use. Upon occasion a washi roll may be too wide for the bobbin and would be wrapped around a PVC (plastic) card. Think of gift cards without the magnetic strip.

If you need additional bobbins, cards, rings or a card holder, they're also available in the Extras - Add-Ons section of the shop. Check the menu on the left hand side.

Can I get all my samples wrapped on a PVC card?

Absolutely. It's an add-on option under the Extras - Add-Ons section. There's also a guide to help estimate how many cards would be needed for the order size. It depends on the width of the washi.

There is a lot of washi to choose from. Is there any way I can get a random selection?

Yes! Because it's nice to be surprised, I created the sampler cards which includes 3 random washi samples. While it's fun to be surprised, the listing does have themes if you wanted to narrow it down. A surprise is great except when it's not what you had in mind.

I totally get it.

There are numerous themes from seasons, colors, widths to prints, patterns, foil.

If you want to let me wing it, there is "random" where I tend to mix and match looking at any past buying history, maybe where you're located or current season.

The random sampler cards have been well received. I think it's my stint doing online fashion styling; I find ways to get you. There is a lot to choose from and some samples come from my secret washi stash.

Washi. What can I do with it?

There are a lot of ways to use washi tape. I became interested, because it melded beautiful patterns with adhesive. Adhesive was one of my challenges with scrapbooking, I always needed a tape runner. Washi tape does it all.

A few simple uses of washi tape, include decorating blank greeting cards, sealing envelopes or adding it to your day planner for a pop of color. Is that it? Oh no. :) You can make activity sticks, little flags on sticks, coaster, decorate photo frames or spruce up the light panel.

One of my favorite easy washi crafts is wrapping washi around the edge of a cookie cutter, tie ribbon - ornament or charm!

Ok, I get washi. I get how it arrives. When is it arriving?

First and foremost, be aware processing times on Etsy counts only weekdays using Eastern Time. Any weekend orders count the following Monday as day one.

Depending on the current order queue which could be a handful or up to 40 orders, processing times can fluctuate especially with orders of varying sizes. Be sure to check the bottom right of the checkout for the latest.

I will also update on Instagram or Etsy's Shop Updates with times change.

During the holidays, I have removed the Rush Fee where it allows you to skip the line. If you do need your order urgently, please message me on Etsy and I will do my best to accommodate the request.
