About

Inspiration, imagination, experimentation = Beauty

I started on Etsy about 4 years ago because I was impressed with the concept of a handmade marketplace and I wanted to contribute a little something to it! I'm amazed that pieces I've made have ended up all over the world.

I started making jewelry as creative outlet to my somewhat dull day job. My first jewelry pieces were wire crochet bracelets and earrings. I used the same methods I already knew from crocheting yarn, and with a little help from some amazing library books, I applied those stitches and techniques to wire. The results were amazing and the possibilities appealed to my imagination! When I first began I couldn't believe what started as a roll of wire could end as an amazing piece of jewelry.

After about a year of making wire crochet jewelry, I decided I wanted to learn some more traditional metalsmithing techniques for jewelry making. I bought a torch for soldering silver and in spite of my fears, I decided to jump right in. I had a few mishaps (burned a hole in my kitchen counter), but after mastering the technical side of things, I absolutely fell in love with soldering and the flexibility it gives me in jewelry design. I made my first few sterling silver soldered rings and the response on Etsy was amazing. This initial response, along with the creative custom requests of my wonderful customers pushed me to keep learning new techniques. Four years later I am absolutely thrilled to have my own home studio and to be able to make a living off of my passion of metalsmithing and jewelry design.

I love clean lines and modern designs, so I try to incorporate that into the look of my shop. I feel like part of modern design is knowing how to make things environmentally friendly, so I try to make "green" designs as much as I can. I order my silver and gold from a company that recycles their precious metals, so all my rings are eco-friendly. I've researched natural ways to oxidize, or darken, my silver and also a natural way to clean it after soldering, instead of using harsh chemicals. Doing this I feel really great about my shop without worrying about what bad effect I might be having on the environment.

Look around and enjoy, and I hope to keep unfolding my story with more unique designs!

I started my Etsy shop about 2 years ago, mostly with wire crochet jewelry. About a year ago I decided to take my shop in a new direction, focusing more on traditional metalsmithing techniques, and so most of the ring designs in my shop were born!

Frequently asked questions

Custom and personalized orders

I love custom orders! I would love to work with you to create something special. I have a huge selection of patterns for bands and hundreds of stones and settings to choose from. Please feel free to contact me with any questions and we can come up with your design together.

I am happy to offer jewelry customization in the form of hand stamping dates, initials, or names of your choice on the inside or outside of rings on pieces large enough to accommodate for this.

Please note that custom and personalized orders are not refundable, but I am happy to work with you to correct any issues with your custom order so that you love it!

Sizing details

Wondering how to find out your ring size? My best recommendation is to get sized in person. In my experience, trying to size yourself at home or online tends to be quite inaccurate and almost always results in the size coming out wrong. Because there is a shipping charge for resized items, I really encourage you to try to get sized in person to avoid this issue. Most department stores with a jewelry counter are willing to size you for free; contact me for some places to try if you cannot find a place to get sized.

Toe ring/Knuckle ring sizes:
Anywhere that can size your finger will also size you for a toe ring or a knuckle ring. Just explain where you want the ring to be worn and size that part of your toe or finger.

Care instructions

Sterling silver is by definition 92.5% pure silver alloyed with 7.5% of another metal (usually copper, or germanium in the case of Argentium silver). These other metals in sterling silver can react with natural sunlight, as well as chemicals found in the air or in cosmetics/lotions, to produce tarnish. High moisture levels, exposure to sunlight and contaminants like salt water or cosmetics and perfumes can cause discoloration with time.

I ship all my orders with a jewelry care card, which explains how to prevent and/or clean any tarnish that may occur. Each order also includes a small ziplock baggie with an antitarnish strip for storing jewelry, which will slow the natural tarnishing process.

Gift wrapping and packaging

All my jewelry ships in a small decorative jewelry box (as shown in the last picture of each listing), ready to present as a gift. During checkout there is an option for you to add a gift note as well. If you purchase more than one item I do combine all items into one jewelry box unless otherwise specified, but I am happy to package items in separate jewelry boxes upon request (leave a note in the notes to seller box during checkout).
