Welcome to my home away from home!! Wayfarer is the carefully curated handmade collection of unique pieces produced and originated from the curiously creative mind of Kayse Collette Smith.

Wayfarer style is a combo of Native American, Southern Rock, Vintage and Classic Romantic. I handcraft unique, elegant, rugged, everyday and every-night jewelry, for women who like to stand out. Wayfarer creations are produced through intricate metal work, wire wrapping, and hammering. This collection also contains vintage inspired pieces from scratch or re-worked vintage pieces.

Each path you take in life is a map and guide to help you find your way. We can use this to understand ourselves as well as life itself. Your own journey brings purpose, meaning, and knowledge to finding your true self. I am very free spirited and passionate about creating looks that reflect your inner character through your own life’s journey. I not only want these pieces to be unique, but I want them to last a lifetime and travel with you on your journey through life.

I accept PayPal for all Etsy purchases-please ensure that you pay in full within 24 hours of purchase. I reserve the right to cancel orders that are unpaid after 24 hours. The Etsy check out will take you directly to the Paypal site where you can either use a checking account or a credit card to pay for your purchase.

Please cross reference your Etsy address with your PayPal address. A difference in addresses could delay shipment of your order.

KENTUCKY RESIDENTS: Will be charged a 6% Sales Tax.

Shipping
All orders are shipped within1- 2 business days, unless my shop announcement states otherwise. Your jewelry will arrive enclosed in a unique gift box with ribbon - ready for gift giving!

DOMESTIC ORDERS will be shipped via USPS First Class OR Priority Mail with delivery confirmation.

INSURANCE: I am happy to add insurance to any order. Please contact me before purchase so that I can send you a revised PayPal invoice that includes the insurance fees. I am also happy to upgrade to Express Mail, just let me know (please contact me before purchase if you would like to upgrade shipping so that I can send you a revised PayPal invoice).

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: will be shipped USPS First Class International mail with Certificate of Mailing (with the exception noted below) – Wayfarer doesn’t provide Insurance for International orders but can be purchased separately. Please inquire with me for pricing and options. Delivery time will vary and may be several weeks or longer.

According to USPS regulations, items fabricated of precious metals (e.g., 14K gold) must ship First Class International Registered Mail and postage charges are priced accordingly. Also- some countries prohibit precious metals from being shipped to them- please contact me if you are an international customer and would like to purchase an item made of 14K gold so that I can confirm that I can send it to your destination. I am also happy to upgrade shipping for international orders and/or add insurance to your order. Please contact me if you would like to upgrade shipping on an international order and I'll send a revised invoice. Wayfarer is not responsible for any customs or duty fees.

DAMAGES: Unfortunately things do get lost or damaged in the mail on occasion- Wayfarer cannot be responsible for lost or damaged packages. Again, I am happy to insure your package upon request (please contact me before purchase and I will send you a revised PayPal invoice that includes insurance fees). If there is damage and you have requested insurance, this must be handled through the shipping agent with an insurance claim. I will be happy to assist in this process. Always be sure to retain all original packaging if a claim is to be made as the shipping agent will request to examine it.
Refunds and Exchanges
RETURNS/EXCHANGES: I want you to be completely satisfied with your Wayfarer purchase! Unless marked as "final clearance" or "final sale," a purchased item may be returned for a refund of the item price minus shipping costs, insurance costs and PayPal transaction fees. Custom orders cannot be returned or exchanged.

TO RETURN ITEMS: Please contact me via convo (Etsy's internal messaging system) or e-mail at sales [!at] WayfarerShop.com within 48 hours of receiving your item(s) and provide me with a list of the item(s) you wish to return. I will provide you with a Return Authorization number, as well as any other information necessary for the return.

US RESIDENTS: Must return their item via carrier of choice with Delivery confirmation and insurance (responsibility of the buyer) within (3) business days of item's receipt (based on package tracking information), after contacting Wayfarer for your Return Authorization number. Upon receipt of the returned merchandise you will receive a credit (only to be redeemed in my shop) or a full refund (whichever is decided).

DAMAGES: I take great pride in my work and want you to be completely happy with your purchase. Please carefully read the jewelry care notes in the FAQ. If something breaks from normal wear and tear or is defective from my design process, I am happy to repair the item within 6 months of purchase, and I will only charge for shipping. This does not cover accidental breakage, but I'm happy to repair the item for a small fee. Please contact me if you have any trouble.

1)Is the pictured item listing the actual item I will be receiving?

The pictures are representative of the piece(s) you are purchasing. I make every effort to make the individual pieces as similar as possible to the item pictured, but because of the handmade nature of the jewelry, your piece will have some small variation that makes it unique.

2) What materials do you use in Wayfarer jewelry?

Wayfarer uses only the finest metals and semi precious gemstones ensuring each creation is one to be treasured for years to come. I use 14K Gold Fill, Sterling Silver, Fine Silver, and Oxidized Metals. Gold fill is made when a layer of gold is fused to a core of base metal. The exterior of the product is solid 14K Gold and everything you can see or touch is a solid layer of 14K Gold. This is why it will never tarnish, chip or wear off. The gold in gold fill is 50 to 100,000 times thicker than regular gold plating, and it is at least 1/20 of the total metal weight. Gold-filled jewelry is economical & durable so you enjoy the look and feel of Gold at a fraction of the cost.

3) How should I care for my Wayfarer handmade jewelry?

I recommend taking jewelry off when showering, swimming or sleeping. If at all possible, keep your jewelry in an airtight container (a Ziploc bag works great!) as this will deter tarnishing. If you find your silver jewelry is tarnishing, you can use a jewelry polishing cloth. If you notice that your gold fill jewelry is looking dull, please polish gently with a soft cloth. Please don’t use a polishing cloth on gold fill jewelry, oxidized silver, or on gemstones. The cloths contain abrasives that my scratch the surface of the metal or stone.

4) Do you craft custom orders?

Abso-freakin-lutely! I love to do custom work. Contact me and we can discuss creating unique, one of kind pieces. I am also more than happy to entertain requests for sizing, gem and metal modifications to my existing designs. I can also create custom jewelry for your wedding and/or bridal party!
FOR CUSTOM ORDERS: Each piece is handcrafted just for you, so please allow at least 5-10 business days for the order to be completed. Some orders may take longer. If you need your item sooner, please let me know. You'll receive an email with tracking info when I send your item(s).

5) Do you sell your jewelry wholesale?

Yes! I sell locally at this time, but I'm in the process of producing larger quanitites to sell to a wider audience! If you are interested in carrying Wayfarer jewelry in your boutique or gallery, please contact me for more information.
