Welcome to the Wearable Art Emporium!
For those of you who know me from my classes, welcome back. To those who don’t…just a little bit about who I am. I have had a love affair with fiber since I was a very young girl. I began to knit and crochet at an early age and when I was about 12 years old, I began incorporating beads into my work and the result was my ongoing love of bead crochet.
Much to my dismay, I couldn’t find any books that taught me how to change yarn in the middle of a project, so that became my first challenge. I also found a lack of patterns, and since I’m a big fan of playing with colors in my work, as well as dimensionality, I start designing the patterns that would work best for the pieces I wanted to design. The result was my book, Bead Crochet Jewelry and the many articles I wrote for Bead and Button Magazine. I also began teaching classes, at which many of my students fell in love with the patterns, and began asking for more! So, I designed a multitude of patterns, and am now offering them to you – new customers and returnees!
I will be posting more new patterns routinely along with a limited number of kits, and instructions for some of my techniques for changing yarn and the invisible join. .
Although patterns are for bracelets and bangles, you may want to experiment with turning them into necklaces (just keep going), or lariats, etc. Blend more than one pattern into a piece if you like.
And please, feel free to email me at WearableArtEmporium [!at] gmail.com with any special requests for patterns you would like to see designed, and I will try to honor those requests.
I hope you love creating and wearing the jewelry you create using my patterns. Please visit us often.

5 out of 5 starsThis is a great pattern for hand dyed yarns but would also work well with semi solids. The instructions are easy to follow and the customer service was outstanding!

5 out of 5 starsThis shop has multiple lovely shawl patterns. I picked this one for the architectural nature of the cables, the pickets, and the stitch variation on the border and pockets

Patterns that I designed so you can make
I have always designed all the items, be they knit, or beaded, that I make. I wanted to make those designs available to whomever wanted them. As a result, I opened this Etsy shop. Most of what I sell here are patterns, for both knit wear and for bead crochet.

I love creating patterns in a variety of medium, including both beads and yarn, and sometimes, mixing the two. I have taught nationally, at various Bead Conventions, Guilds in addition to the Smithsonian. I have written a book on Bead Crochet.
