Necklace components are fragile & may chip or break if dropped. It is strongly recommended that necklaces with toy or clay pendants be worn for special occasions/photo shoots only. Certain beads, such as pearls, are prone to marks/scratches. Please handle your Viv & Olive items delicately with care.

Do not submerge your Viv & Olive items in water/liquids. Wire & metal components may become rusted/discolored if exposed to water from the bath/shower/sprinkler/hose/pool/hot tub/river/ocean (ie, any water source). Excessive heat and exposure to lotions/perfumes or sunscreen may damage painted beads (pearls or other beads with a painted design). Viv & Olive is not responsible for damage to hair accessories/jewelry exposed to water, liquids, sunscreens, lotions or perfumes.

Unless otherwise noted, all of the findings used (clasps, wires, chains, etc.) are plated. Plated findings have a brass core with a thin layer of the metal color, the color that you see, on the outside. This means that it may tarnish (become a golden/brown color; wear out) over time. Plated materials are used to keep prices more affordable. Do not attempt to clean with jewelry/silver polish as it may cause damage. You can polish with a soft cloth, such as one you would use to clean glasses or electronics (phone/iPad, etc). In order to keep your jewelry from quickly tarnishing, store jewelry in a closed container, away from other jewelry. It's best to avoid extreme weather and moisture.
