At the moment, Well Worn Wardrobe operates out of my coat closet because I believe in living close to where I work. It started out as a dream 20 years ago, and as a serious conversation about goals 8 years ago. Now that the internet has progressed past Angelfire and Geocities webpages, I am able to make my collection of vintage clothing available to the whole world (almost) and I am super excited about it.

I really REALLY love vintage clothing, and I hope you do too.

I want to reduce the amount of waste created by the fast fashion industry by not being a part of it. I do this by wearing vintage and recycled clothes whenever I can. Thank you for stopping by and supporting the effort.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
  • Items on sale
Returns and exchange details
If you have an issue with an item that you have received, please contact me. I will return items ONLY due to a misrepresentation in the listing. I will not return items that do not fit or because you changed your mind. If you have questions about measurements or the fit of an item, please contact me before you purchase the item. Issues must be reported to me within 7 days of receipt. ALL shipping is paid for by the buyer (both the initial and return shipping).

Due to EU buyer protection laws, I do accept returns from Europe. All shipping/customs fees are non-refundable.

Items that are returned must be in the same condition as when they were photographed for the listing, without any new stains, hair, or smells (from pets, humans, cigarettes, smoke of any kind, food, etc). If an item arrives to your home with a store tag, the store tag must still be attached to meet the return conditions. Items that do not meet the return conditions will have a 20% cleaning fee deducted from the refund.

You will receive a refund for the price you paid for the merchandise only via your original method of payment, provided all return conditions are met. ALL SHIPPING CHARGES (including initial shipping at the time of purchase) ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

Payment is required at the time of the sale. If you run into any issues concerning payment, please contact me as soon as possible. If you are having issues with PayPal, waiting for payday, etcetera, please let me know. I understand. I have been there, and I will hold the item for you or we can set-up a payment plan/layaway. But please drop me a line and let me know the deal.

I accept PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and Etsy gift cards.
I ship within two days of receipt of payment (More often than not, I ship the day I receive payment because I am so excited that someone bought something. BUT I also have two small kids and I never know what pitfalls will keep me away from the post office on any particular day). If you are purchasing more than one item from my store, please contact me and I will bundle the items to reduce your shipping costs (if applicable). If the Etsy shipping robot messes up the shipping costs and you end up being charged an astronomical fee for shipping (this has happened before), please contact me. I will refund you any overages. If I notice a shipping overage, I tend to refund the overages anyway.

If you are purchasing during a high traffic shipping holiday (usually between November and January), there may be shipping delays for items being shipped First Class or Parcel Post. I recommend upgrading your shipping to a Priority option during this time to eliminate or shorten any delays. If your item is being shipped via Priority Mail, it is already insured for $100. If you would like to increase your insurance amount, let me know and we'll figure something out.

International customers are responsible for all duties and taxes associated with their purchases.

Before you commit to buy, PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK THE ADDRESS ASSOCIATED WITH YOUR ETSY ACCOUNT. My shipping labels print automatically through the Etsy Mailing Service. If it ships out to the wrong address, there is nothing I can do. If the postal service returns it to me, I will gladly ship it to the correct address, but you will have to pay a shipping fee AGAIN. Nobody wants to pay for shipping twice, so double check your address. Pretty please.
Additional policies and FAQs
Since I have been in customer service for years and years and years, I hope I can provide you with the best customer service that can be reasonably expected over the internet and through the mail. If you have any questions about an item (condition, measurements, etc.), please contact me. I am brutally honest about the condition of the items in the description and include clear photos of any defects whenever possible. If you would like additional photos, please contact me prior to purchasing. I'm usually roaming about looking for more vintage items with two small kids in tow or working at a full-time third shift job (I do not sleep. Ever.), but I will answer all correspondence ASAP.

I am happy to reserve items for interested parties for one week maximum (no exceptions). If someone other than the holding customer buys it within that reserved week, I will have to cancel the order. Making a reservation is like making a promise, and I don't want to break a promise to a potential return customer. I hope you understand. If you are really interested in purchasing an item that is on reserve, please send me a convo. If the reserve sale falls through, you will be the first person notified that the item is available to purchase again.

Please note that the items being sold are VINTAGE CLOTHING. This means that there will be signs of wear and wash unless explicitly described as being in mint condition or as N.O.S. (new old stock) or D.S. (deadstock). If you are not comfortable wearing an item of clothing that has been worn by someone else (sometimes for years and years), please reconsider purchasing or ask me specific questions before you buy.

Also, in the case for some vintage items, they have been in storage for lengthy amounts of time and may retain a stale or mothball odor even after washing. I recommend washing or professionally cleaning all items before wearing. Since they are vintage, please clean the items carefully! Any damage sustained during cleaning will render the item super duper non returnable (except in extenuating circumstances; please contact me to see if you qualify for an extenuating circumstance).

The items will be described in the following ways to indicate their condition:

* MINT/PERFECT/N.O.S./D.S. -- Perfect condition; never worn, or worn with zero indication of wear. N.O.S. or New Old Stock and D.S. Deadstock may have original tags attached and will meet the above conditions unless explicitly specified.

* EXCELLENT/GREAT -- A few small barely noticeable flaws. Structurally solid. Immediately wearable.

* GOOD -- A few small, easily repairable, flaws (undone seams, loose buttons). Still in wearable condition as-is.

* FAIR -- Many flaws, stains, holes (i.e. missing buttons, large moth holes, etc). Repairable with significant attention and skill. May not be immediately wearable.

* AS IS -- Extremely damaged or stained, structurally compromised; for historical reference only. Not wearable without expert repair.

One more time for the cheap seats in the back: I am very honest about the condition of the items I sell, but my vision is not perfect and I may occasionally miss a flaw. However, all items are sold as-is. PLEASE request additional photos and/or ask questions if you have them.
