I love stuff. I am an avid collector of so many different types of things. Plus, I have inherited a great deal. Vintage items are my favorite things to collect because they carry within them the energy and memories of all the people who owned, touched, handled, used or wore them. Each vintage piece is like an “energy” biography of all those who came before me.

To me…there is a special reverence to all vintage things because vintage items are our link to the past.

I love everything I have collected and continue to collect, as well as those things I inherited, but I can’t keep everything. I can’t nor will I ever be able to display, wear or use them all, so, I sell them rather than keep them wrapped in a dark closet or drawer unused.

I believe everything, animate and inanimate, has a purpose in this life and should be allowed to fulfill it. Storing things and keeping them from being enjoyed, cherished, and loved by others is wrong and selfish.

Returns and exchanges
I have a no return policy. All sales are final and cannot be cancelled or returned after payment has been made. No exceptions.

I give very detailed and accurate information/descriptions, in addition to providing photos, of all items so there will be no surprises. If you have any questions or wish additional photos prior to placing an order, please feel free to convo me.

With all vintage items, I leave it up to the buyer to clean or not clean. Some people prefer vintage items in their original state, while others alter them. All vintage items are sold as is, leaving the decision up to the buyer. Thus, I do not clean, alter or repair vintage.

I only accept PayPal as my form of payment. Payment is to be made ONLY in US Dollars.

With PayPal you can instantly send payments online using your bank account or credit card, available for worldwide buyers.

PayPal is FREE for Buyers; sign up for a FREE PayPal account and you can instantly send payments online using your bank account or credit card.

Payment is due at time the order is placed. After you hit the “Commit to Buy” button, please proceed to PayPal to make your payment. If you do not pay, the item will be relisted and Etsy will be notified of a nonpayment. This sounds harsh, but this is my business. When you shop at your local supermarket, you pay before you leave. It is the same with my shop. I am certain you understand.

If paying PayPal with your credit card, you must have a confirmed address and no payment reversals at all after an item was shipped from a seller.

Payment is only to be made in US dollars. No exceptions will be made. PayPal charges a huge conversion fee and, if you do not pay in US dollars, you will be billed for reimbursement of those conversion fees.

Reserving Items
I am delighted to reserve any item for you. However, the maximum time for a reserved item(s) is 3 days; then payment is due in full via your PayPal account. If the item is not paid for in full within the 3 days, the item will be relisted for sale and I will notify Etsy of a nonpayment.

Once an item is reserved, it is sold to you, not just held so no one else can buy it while you search Etsy for a similar item at a cheaper price. I am reserving it for you and holding it for you in good faith for 3 days as a courtesy. When you do not buy it, I have lost money. Reserving an item means sold.

As per Etsy policy, non-paying buyers will be reported.
I use the United States Postal Service (USPS) to ship your item(s). My goal is to get your item(s) to you safely, timely, and have you pay no more than you have to.

My preference for shipping is USPS Priority. It is the safest, can be tracked, and includes insurance up to $50. However, if your item(s) can be shipped another less expense USPS method, it will be.

For any USPS shipping methods other than Priority, Confirmation of Delivery is required and will be part of the shipping price.

If you should pay more than the actual cost to ship your package, which is stated on the envelope or box, I will refund your shipping overages via your PayPal account the same day your package is mailed. You will not have to wait weeks or even days to receive your refund.

Confirmation of Delivery
Confirmation of Delivery is required on all non USPS Priority shipments. I want to be certain that your item arrived to you. Without insurance, there is no way to track it.

Your package will be shipped by the United States Postal Service (USPS) one of two ways depending upon weight:

First Class Mail International:
For an item or items weighing 4 pounds and under. Insurance is not available.

Priority Mail International (PMI):
For an item or items weighing more than 4 lbs.

Buyers will need to convo me PRIOR to paying for an item or items for the shipping costs. The listing will show no shipping cost for your country.

If you pay more than the actual cost to ship your package, I will refund the shipping overages via your PayPal account the same day it was mailed. You will not have to wait weeks or even days to receive your refund.

USA and International
I mail only to the address given to me by PayPal. So, if your purchase is a gift for someone else with a different address, be sure to add it to PayPal so they will provide it to me for shipping. If you do not, I will ship the item to what PayPal gives me… most likely, your address.

Please make certain that your email address, name, and shipping address are current and correct with PayPal. WestVintageandSupply will not alter or change the shipping address.

I require insurance only on certain items such a glass, highly fragile, breakable, delicate, or very old, and etc. Please note: This list is not all inclusive. Otherwise, it is your option. But, for expensive, rare or fragile items, I do recommend it.

If insurance is not purchased, the buyer assumes all responsibility for what may happen in transit. The USPS takes no responsibility without insurance.

If you wish insurance, please convo me BEFORE paying and let me know and I will send you a bill for the upgrade.

Whether you choose to add insurance or not…

* Once I mail your package to you, it is out of my hands and I am not responsible for any damage, loss, non-delivery or time delays that may occur.

*WestVintageandSupply does not refund or replace items damaged in the mail. I pack all items with extreme care and more than adequate protection. In addition, on the outside of the package, it is marked: Fragile, Glass, Handle With Care, Do Not Bend, etc. to insure safe delivery and alert the postal employees.

*WestVintageandSupply does not refund or replace lost packages. I only use the address given to me by PayPal. If it is incorrect, it is not my fault.

Several times the USPS lost buyer’s packages. Even though, the buyer chose not to insure it or buy a USPS tracking upgrade, I replaced the cost of those items out of my pocket, as a courtesy, along with the shipping costs. I can no longer do this.

If you wish insurance or a tracking upgrade, I will send you a bill for the cost. Thank you for your understanding in this matter as I am unable to afford to replace things lost by the USPS.

Insurance is not available for First Class Mail International and Priority Mail International per the USPS.

COMBINED SHIPPING ~ Applies to All Buyers
When you buy more than one of my items at the same time, I will be delighted to combine shipping. It saves you money on the shipping costs. However, what is combined needs to be within reason. For example, a tool or heavy metal tool box and a crystal vase will not be packed together. That would be a disaster waiting to happen no matter how well I would have packed it.

The combined shipping price in the listing most likely is not the true cost for combined items shipping. It is impossible to determine, when I list an item and prior to a sale, which additional item or items you will buy from me, what they will weigh or your zip code. Therefore, the combined shipping cost you receive in your ETSY invoice may be too high.

Again… Any overage paid for shipping will be refunded to you via your PayPal account the day I mail. I always have and I always will refund any shipping overage you may have paid. That money is for shipping. If you paid too much, then it is yours, not mine.

If you buy more than one of my items, I will be delighted to combine shipping. It saves you money on the shipping costs.

However, you will need to convo me PRIOR to paying via PayPal for your order so I can give you a combined shipping price.

Handling Fee
WestVintageandSupply does not charge a handling fee or hide handling fees and other fees in the shipping costs. When you receive your package, the postage amount is clearly printed on the postage label. The price you pay to ship is how much the USPS charges to ship your package. Nothing is hidden.

~ Giftie ~
If your purchase is a giftie, please make certain that you temporarily add this address to your PayPal account so that this giftie address is the one PayPal provides me to mail your giftie package. If you do not, I will mail it to the address given to me by PayPal; mostly likely yours.

Also, in that same convo, if you wish me to do so, let me know the person’s first name, if different than the one stated in the given PayPal address, so I can enclose a gift card. And, let me know what you would like the gift card to read. There is no charge for the gift card. It is my pleasure to do it.

Gift wrapping is available for an additional cost of 50 cents.

Shipping Time Frame
I mail, normally, one to three days after a sale. If it is a Holiday, your package will be mailed the next business day. If you need expedited shipping, it is available from the USPS upon request for an additional fee. Just convo or email me ASAP.

I realize we are all very busy and rushed nowadays. But, taking a moment to leave positive feedback for me, after you receive your purchase, lets others know good things about me as a seller, my shop, and my merchandise. I would appreciate you taking the time to leave positive feedback.

I want to earn 5 stars across the board from you. My items are quality. I take such good care of them. They are stored, wrapped, in a dark temperature controlled room; so no dust can get on them. When I handle them, I use white cotton gloves. I pack them safely, cleanly, and without odor. I do not use dirty newspaper or plastic bags. I want you to feel special when you receive your item. I want you to see how much care was taken by me for you. I do appreciate your positive feedback.

If you feel, for some reason, I have not; please contact me via Etsy convo PRIOR to leaving any feedback less than 5 stars so we can talk. My goal is a win-win situation.

Keep in mind, please, my policies are firm. I provide many photos, as well as complete descriptions, not just one line blurbs! Plus, you can always contact me via Etsy's message system.

The listing and policies are our contract and they are in place for your protection too. Knowing my policies will avoid surprises, disappointments, and the like.

But, please, do not use the feedback system as a bargaining chip to get a lower price or something else. That is not what feedback is for. It is not blackmail. It is your way of telling others I am a 5 star seller and that they too should do business with me.
