We are What Cheer? of Providence, Rhode Island.

Curious about our name? Rhode Island’s founder Roger Williams was greeted by friendly Narragansett Indians who said “What Cheer, Netop?” to Williams. in half-old-English and half-Narragansett this means “Hi Neighbor” (later becoming the slogan for Rhode Island brewery Narragansett Beer!)

What Cheer? began in 1998 with “What Cheer, Netop?” as
the inspiration for our store’s name. this phrase has long been celebrated
in Rhode Island and has been used in naming many different businesses
and things, including the City of Providence, and also by an indie
marching band called the What Cheer? Brigade . . .

After nearly 20 years of brick and mortar retail, we have moved to just selling online and events. we sell Vinyl Records, Vintage Clothing + Accessories, Fabric + Textiles
Books + Ephemera, Old Cameras + other Photography related stuff Antiques, Posters, Artwork, Memorabilia and Collectibles . . .
