About

Handmade stamped charms and jewelry

Hi, my name is Meghan and I started Whatsername Jewelry in July 2005. My business began with me making beaded necklaces and bracelets and selling them at craft fairs and festivals and to my family and friends. Five years later I began my Internet Jewelry Shop. In June 2010 I started selling exclusively online.

While learning the ins and outs of online product management and developing a creative schedule, I started the Whatsername Jewelry Blog and began sharing my love for handmade products and services as well as crafting and baking.

Before I began working on the Whatsername Jewelry shop, I was a certified elementary school teacher and earned two bachelor’s degrees. I graduated cum laude from Rhode Island College in Psychology and Sociology and then continued my education and earned a degree in Elementary Education.

I worked in the public school system for 10 years before going back to school to begin certification at Providence College for a Master’s Degree in Special Education. I worked in a private school for children with severe and profound developmental disabilities for a year before leaving the profession.

While I enjoyed my time teaching, I find the challenge of my owning my own business thrilling. I have learned so much about myself over the past 11 years that I probably never would have experienced working in the private sector. I have attained more out of life than I ever thought possible.

Shipping
Due to the handmade nature of my new products, current delivery turn-around time is 3-5 business days. Charms need to be cut, stamped and polished before delivery. Please expect custom orders to take longer to create than pre-made pieces.

Upon package being shipped, delivery typically takes between 2-3 days to arrive to continental United States addresses. Overseas and international orders may take 2-6 weeks for delivery.

Whatsername Jewelry will no longer ship packages that include a C/O address. Unfortunately, sending packages in care of another individual leads to packages going unverified when the item has arrived.

If it is absolutely necessary that you provide a C/O address, please contact me and you will be required to sign for your package.
Refunds and Exchanges
Due to the handmade nature of the products in my shop, no returns, refunds or exchanges can be made. I do my best to provide accurate descriptions and product photos. It is your responsibility as a buyer to make sure that the products you choose to purchase are going to meet your needs. If upon receipt of your purchase you decide that you wanted a different charm or necklace length for any reason, I will not provide a replacement charm or necklace. You must purchase additional charms or necklace lengths and pay the shipping charges.
