About

From the Ground Up

My shop is new and just getting going. I have spent much of the summer building inventory, while working on two local farms in the process. Farming is something I grew up doing, and is something I will always love. Both farms here are organic, and family owned. We grow and sell produce to local families, restaurants, and co-ops. A lot of my work is inspired by the earth and all the beautiful things we can learn from it.

I recently switched apartments, and now have a studio in my basement! It is fantastic and I spend all my days down there :)

The plan for the next couple of years is to continue to get my name out in the area. I am going to build inventory this winter so that I will be able to attend shows and art fairs next summer. I have started teaching drawing lessons in an after school program, and it is a great supplement to owning a studio/shop.

I hope you enjoy browsing my shop! It is a work in progress, so feel free to email me with comments, ideas and suggestions! Thank you for shopping!

Hey shoppers!
I hope you're enjoying my shop. I'm a full time potter in Madison, WI, and I work out of my basement studio. All my work is handmade, unique and individual. I do work in sets, but I can never guarantee pieces to be exactly the same. Since I fire in many different gas kilns, glazes aren't always consistent. I embrace this evidence of the hand, and the inconsistent glaze "surprises" that come with the job :)
