Hope you all will be joining me and my family at the MARYLAND SHEEP AND WOOL FESTIVAL May 6 and 7, 2022 at Howard County Fairgrounds in Sykesville, MD. It is a Baaewetiful festival and very large. The festival is back after being on pause due to the pandemic. Put your walking shoes on! You can find my booth in Barn 3. See you there!
Thank you for coming to my shop Whimsical Woolies. My company name is The Ram's Horn Connection. I have been in business for approaching 40 years.
Almost all of my work leans towards the whimsical hence the name. I like my creations to make me smile after I have designed them and I hope they do the
same for you. Please read below and check out my list of shows that I attend.
Everything you see on this site is handmade.
Everything you see on this site is handmade completely by myself along with help from my daughters, Kristen and Meghan and my wonderful sister, Madeline. Each item pictured on this site is a representation of that item. Each piece is created as closely to what you see in that picture and possible.
Thank you for coming and visiting my little woolie store.
I have been in business for over 36 years now under the name of The Ram's Horn Connection. Whimsical Woolies is the name for my Etsy store.
Each piece I design is made from wire as a base and wool as the body. I wrap the wool over the wire to create the main body of each creation and then add
needle felting technique to acquire the features I desire for ears, face, etc. Since the body is made of wire they are POSEABLE!
My work has been featured in several national magazines over the years such as Country Living, Country Home, Traditional Home, Wild Fiber, Domino Magazine and Early American Life and Art Doll Quarterly.
Over the years several pieces of my work have ended up in several museums around the country also.
Thank you so much and enjoy shopping and come back often because I am constantly adding new items!
The following is a list of my shows this year where I will be attending and selling my work:
SEPTEMBER 4 and 5 Heart of Lancaster
Roots Market
Lancaster, PA
SEPTEMBER 18 and Covered Bridge Festival
19 Hickory, PA
NOVEMBER 12-14 Northern Virginia Christmas Market
Chantilly VA

The Ram's Horn Connection and Whimsical Woolies
It all started with my mother, Eveylyn Roberts, over 35 years ago. She started making little woolie sheep to display the wool that she used for making her shawls, coats, etc. They sold very well at Yankee Peddler Show in Canal Fulton, OH and so my sisters and myself started making them. Since I lived almost 5 hours away I began my own division of the woolie making team, The Ram's Horn Connection.
My husband and I just recently bought a farm outside of Pittsburgh and plan to have goats and chickens next year on the farm. We are very excited to have this wonderful place and looking forward to many days and years enjoying it with family and friends.
