I am obsessed with my craft!
At the time of typing this, I have been thinking about sculpting figurines every single day for about 13 years. The majority of those days, I've ventured past the thinking and have put my hands to work, perfecting my craft like a mad scientist with a singular goal, to create life from basic materials. Obviously I'm not talking about living breathing life, but how cool would that be! No, I'm talking about forming my imaginings into objects that can be held in human hands. In other words, sculptures, figurines, art, whatever you want to call it.
After over a decade of developing, composing, and constructing my thoughts into 3 dimensional objects, I continue to be taken aback by how special this gift is. I put so much of myself into each single creation and when I hold one in my hands, it looks back at me and I see myself there. Is this too woo woo? Haha. Probably! I'm not embarrassed though, to admit that I'm obsessed with my own work. I'd much rather be the obsessed scientist, working to achieve their life's goal than to be apathetically drudging through each day.
To sum this up, if you receive a package from me and upon opening it, you find a wriggling, blinking, breathing being in the box where your figurine was supposed to be, please let me know that I've achieved my ultimate dream. Either that or you got some kind of insect infestation. Thanks for reading!
