Damaged/Incorrect Items-Returns

Returns or exchanges are accepted when:
1. item is damaged due to shipping
2. items are incorrect upon arrival
3. exchange of size (buyer pays return and/or replacement shipping)

Unfortunately the postal services may damage items. If your items arrive damaged or incorrect, contact me within 3 DAYS of receiving your order and attach 2-3 photos. You MUST keep all items, packaging and labels intact for a return, a prepaid return label will be provided. Additional packaging material is provided at your local Post Office if needed. Items MUST be returned via USPS.


I am not responsible for lost/missing packages. If packages are lost please contact the mail carrier with your tracking information and file a missing package claim.

Cancellations & Shipping Address

PERSONALIZED ORDERS cancelled AFTER proof is created will have a 20% CANCELLATION FEE (or $10 FOR SCRABBLE FRAMES).

All other orders canceled after 24 HOURS will be subject to a 15% cancellation fee.

Cancellations can't be made once the order is shipped. Please check shipping address upon ordering. I am NOT responsible for incorrect addresses or changed payment. If you enter an incorrect shipping address, contact me immediately. I am NOT responsible for handling any fees or replacing your order due to an incorrect shipping address. Orders returned due to incorrect/incomplete/undeliverable addresses may be cancelled minus shipping costs, or reshipped with buyer paid shipping. A restocking fee of 15% will be applied to Free Shipping orders.

Custom and personalized orders

Don’t see what you’re looking for? Message me about creating a custom sign just for you! Once purchased, design work will begin and you will receive a proof for approval within 2 business days. Once the design is approved and production begins, no more changes can be made.

Returns will NOT be accepted for custom and personalized orders unless they arrive damaged.

*ITEMS ARE NOT DEFECTIVE BASED ON HOW THE WOOD NATURALLY ACCEPTS STAIN, AND NATURAL DINGS AND KNOTS IN THE WOOD. Our products are made of natural wood and not altered to be "perfect". Returns are NOT accepted based on buyer's satisfaction of their frame and refunds will not be made. An exchange may be made at buyer's expense.

Processing Time

Each sign is started within 24 hours after purchase and shipped within 2-5 business days. You can see expected arrival dates in your cart. Please contact me ASAP if you need a cancellation.

Hanging hardware is available for purchase as an add on. A link can be found in every items listing description.

If you would like a different size or sign other than what was purchased or change your mind about wanting the product, please send me a message with a request and I will make accommodations. Items MUST be returned via USPS Priority mail. Additional packaging material is provided at your local Post Office if needed. Once returned items are received, replacements will sent/refund will be made. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

Intended Use

Frames are intended to be used as indoor decoration only. They are not to be placed where they will have direct contact with water and other elements as this may damage the sign inside. Frames and signs damaged due to customer error may be replaced at cost of the customer. Please contact us if this

Missing Mail / Non-Delivery / Incorrect Delivery

In the event that an item is returned to us for insufficient/incorrect address, buyer is responsible for all further shipping costs.

In the event that an item is marked as delivered and buyer claims non-receipt, buyer is responsible for contacting USPS and/or filing a non-delivery/missing mail claim. WhimsyLotus is not responsible for non-delivered, missing, or mis-delivered packages and we will not send replacements.
