Great piece! This was for a gift and the recipient said it fit her book perfectly. The seller went the extra mile for sure - she made sure not to include an invoice in the package, and sent me a picture of the final piece because I wasn't going to be able to see it in person. Thanks so much!

About

Doe a deer... a female deer~

I've literally grown up immersed in crafts and sewing my entire life. I attended a year-round elementary school, and the majority of the three week breaks from school, instead of hiring a babysitter, my mom often took us to live in the backroom of the craft store she worked at till I was 11 during her shifts. This definitely imprinted on my life.

As an adult, I'm still a very socially awkward stay at home wife and mother of a miniature Goblin who was born September 2011, and has high-functioning Autism, but is overall a massively huge barrel of joy who spends 90% of his waking moments cuddled in my lap. I regard to him as my "quality control" as he always inspects everything I create after completion.

Whistling Doe has very, very slowly grown out of primarily creating gifts for friends and family through the past 12+ years, with the occasional stranger asking me to make something for them. I love arts and crafts as a "therapy" to ease the trials and tribulations of every day life, and seeing my work appreciated makes my day.

My goal is to always create high quality and beloved items highlighting your favorite characters. Being the huge nerd that I am, I gravitate towards to the subjects that bring me joy, and I hope they do to you as well.

Please feel free to approach me over a subject I've never created, and I'll be more than pleased to research into giving it a shot!

Welcome!

My goal with every cross stitch project I make is to work on it efficiently, professionally and with durability. I place top priority on completing every project within a very timely manner (usually less than a month), and fulfilling every request of the recipient as much as reasonably possible.

I also keep it very easy for everyone to see updates and track my progress on projects through my blog at: http://whistlingdoe.com/

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
Payment is accepted through PayPal and Etsy Direct payment.

If you're purchasing a custom or made to order item, payment is expected up front to cover material costs. Cancellation of an order can only be made prior to materials being purchased and work beginning.
Shipping
Shipping is handled through USPS first class and parcel post and will have included tracking numbers. Priority mail upgrades for faster delivery is available on most listings. Ready made items are typically shipped out the next day (pending Sundays or national US holidays) if paid for before 10pm Mountain Time (GMT-7).

I will refund shipping differences if over $2.00. Buyers are responsible for any Custom Charges and any related handling if shipping internationally.
Refunds and Exchanges
I will discuss refunds on a case by case basis. If a project is damaged (for example, a few pulled stitches), I will look it over and see if I can repair and then return it to you. My goal is to have a lifetime guarantee for satisfaction on everything I create.
Additional policies and FAQs
If you're ordering a personalized/custom item, please be ready to provide as much detailed information and/or reference photos if possible to explain what you're wanting.

Cross stitch projects on average take me 1-4 weeks to complete depending on the size of the pattern, and Machine Stitched projects take on average 1-3 days. Factors of the customer's personalization requests, availability of supplies or personal life can possibly extend this. I always make regular check ins through email/Etsy messaging to let you know what my progress and current time estimate is.
