About

Handmade From the Heart

Beginning on this journey of making wedding invitations began shortly after my own wedding. Most people imagine getting married...which is completely different than a wedding itself.

I was one of these people. I imagined the wedded bliss, the kiss, the honeymoon, but never the actual wedding planning.

It's hard to know exactly what you will be up against until you are immersed in it. Don't get me wrong, a wedding and all the planning that goes into it is amazing, and something all brides and grooms will remember forever. It's all that hard work that pays off in the form of the most memorable day of your life.

That being said, how do you know where to start? You can talk to friends, family, read online blogs, browse Pinterest. But nothing you read or hear will ever describe how it will really unfold for you personally. It's incredible yet stressful, enjoyable yet frustrating... all at the same time.

My husband and I found all the above to be true on our wedding journey. Luckily, most of us brides find wonderful and helpful vendors and wedding planners to help guide us through the maze. For us, we had so many people helping us, we actually got to sit back a little and give the reins to someone else. Except when it came to our wedding invitations.

We went to Hallmark, professional printing presses, Target, online invitation sites, and finally a big box craft store, which I will leave un-named. (I had never heard of Etsy back then- gasp!). The big box craft store seemed like a great option at the time. It was budget friendly and enabled us to have a hand in making something ourselves for our big day, which seemed like it would be fun.

We purchased five boxed wedding invitation sets. They came with envelopes, a gatefold invitation housing, and paper to print your wording on, then put inside the housing.

This seemed to us like a great option, one which seemed relatively easy. The task seemed simple with the given instructions and photos.

And then the horror began, as we got the invitations home and tried the whole DIY process. Unfortunately, we didn't have the best outcome. I will spare all the gory details, but just say, it wasn't pretty, and my wedding invitations will always be the thing I regret the most about my own wedding. To achieve the finished product, the invitations ended up costing us (or should I say my parents) about four times the cost of the boxed invitations.

The wedding invitation roller coaster we rode inspired us to start our own company, one that has styles for every bride, and high quality stationery at a reasonable price. All our invitations are customizable, budget-friendly, and crafted with care and precision by hand.

We have worked over the years to find the finest vendors to work with. This has resulted in our discovery of first rate materials, and a stunning array of card stock and envelope colors to offer our clients.

The detail that we put into our designs stems from our aspiration to give every client the wedding stationery we wish we had ourselves.

When choosing something to represent your big day, don't we all want something stress free, budget friendly, and handmade from the heart?
